I'm all in for a meetup there. The place is really great for those who want to play a bunch of machines without a wait. Surprised how nice the condition is on most.

There is a tournament next month
Just there a few hours ago and what a blast. Games still a dollar or three for two bucks. Some had minor issues for routed games that are not in a collectors personal home. Some flippers needed tweaking, a few switches not registering ect. Overall, an awesome place that was not even that crowded on a Saturday birthday filled afternoon. The rest of the place is a different story.
Lineup presently is:
Family Guy
XMen
POTC
LOTR
ACDC
Rolling Stones
BDK
RBION
NASCAR Dale Earnhardt
Avengers
transformers
NBAFB
Monopoly
The Sopranos
Tron
CSI
TSPP

transformers and sopranos is in the middle now? It's not like they didn't have the space on the sides, wonder why they did that?
The wife and I was there Friday. Its awesome to have this many pins on location these days. The ac/dc pro they have there play crazy fast! Awesome place! Hopefully they keep them nice and playable.
I was just there around 7-8 pm.. Quick review on the games I played
BDK - dirty but played well. VERY easy to score and i received 3 matches in a row
XMEN - played like new
TSPP - needs completely shopped. Both upper flippers need rebuilt. Sound went completely out after one game.
TFLE - like new
AVENGERS - like new
TRON - like new
POTC - ugggh (stopped playing it after ball 1)
DJ - like new
LOTR - dirty, slow and needs flippers rebuilt
SP - didnt play it.. Looks VERY nice. It was getting a LOT of play while I was there. Dont know why people like it.
Overall - I was quite impressed.. Would like to see some B/W games mixed in though. Ill be back for sure
Stopped by last night as well to get a few games in.
Don't forget the monthly tournament is this coming Tuesday (4/9) at 7:30!

Nice! I guess they're making some good money on pins then?

That means I will be out there shortly after they get it! Love having a place local to try out new games.

Awesome!
My brother and I played at Enchanted Castle yesterday and had a great time. Most of the pins are in great condition! Had an issue on Avengers with the ball getting stuck coming down the Hawkeye shot before dropping into the right inlane. Ripley's DMD shut off during a game. The left flipper on LOTR is a bit off. Tron played amazing. Transformers LE was great. AC/DC played like new with the updated software running, and my brother put up 86 million on it. We'll definitely be heading back next month for Metallica!

Ya, that little white pin that drops down doesnt drop down all the way. I would just nudge the machine as it went down and got it to work....something simple they havent fixed in weeks though, kind of annoying.
The list of issues hasn't changed much in the past few weeks from what I've noticed and quite a few of the issues are simple to fix. Like the "I" insert for the inlane on ACDC has had a light burnt out for couple weeks now with no fix. Not game changing, but definitely annoying.
Another thing I found annoying was at the last tournament. There were no technicians to be found anywhere when a ball got stuck on FG.
The machines will always get minimal play from the kids that walk by and throw a few coins in and maybe finish the game. But they more than likely don't know how a lot of those mechanisms are supposed to work. The people that will keep coming back and playing the games on a regular basis are most likely people that understand how the game is suppose to be played and how certain things should be working (pinheads). Therefore if something constantly isn't working right, it won’t get played. Especially during these tournaments, if games aren't working right or no technicians are around to help a ball stuck or some other issue, etc. there will be less people attending them as we move forward.
I know when they first got all these machines in I was told that if any issues arouse to let someone know and they would get it fixed. They were serious about keeping these pins in working order. Now that they have had them for a couple months, I'm starting to question how serious they really are. Maybe it’s been determined already that having that many machines won’t pay off, especially trying to keep up with maintenance.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of machines that work great still. Just annoying when simple issues go unaddressed for weeks.

Can't be true, they have a metallica on order. I think it's two things:
1. People aren't letting a tech know to get it fixed (they fixed the Tron within 20 minutes while we were there)
2. The tech that is authorized to fix pins isn't there all the time, and then if there was an issue it isn't getting communicated to the tech
They certainly have a budget for upkeep on the pins. Any weekend you go, that place is absolutely packed. The money they make on redemption alone..
I love reading about this place, too bad I'm so far away.
Suggestion for them: Add one of those comment boxes that some places have, so that people can write notes saying what stuff isn't working correctly that way the tech can know about them when he gets there.

I'm just going off of personal experience and speculation but whenever I come across an issue I ask for an actual technician and let them know. Or I find the manager. It also got to the point (since I go there during lunch on the weekdays) that it felt like I was constantly reporting the same issues weekly. Also, the past two tournaments, there was a clipboard to list issues on any machines. The list looked quite long and some issues still hadn't been addressed between the first and second tourney (1 month apart). I've still noticed some of the same issues recently on a few machines that have been on that clipboard list since the first tourney back in March.
You’re right that most people probably don’t let anyone know about an issue. But then again, most people probably don’t recognize an issue when they do play either.
Quoted from flashburn:Suggestion for them: Add one of those comment boxes that some places have, so that people can write notes saying what stuff isn't working correctly that way the tech can know about them when he gets there.
Maybe since the authorized technician isn’t there all the time, it would be a good idea to have some type of comment box or at the very least, management should have a list once something is reported so the technician knows about it.
I’m curious about this Metallica pin they ordered. Are they planning on still getting a WOZ because I was told that they were getting one of those. Maybe they bailed on the WOZ…

They do have a nice long list of issues and are planning to fix them. Parts are supposed to be in shortly (a day or two). As it's all new to them and the tech isn't a full time pin tech, he had to inspect each issue reported and build a big parts list instead of doing them one at time. PoTC Tortuga ramp, Dale Jr. ramp opto and more will be fixed.
We all agree it would be nice if it went quicker and yeah, simply things like bulbs should be quicker fixes. However, I would imagine they're looking at it a bit different than we are. Surely they want to see it succeed and make money but I doubt they want to spend a lot of money and human resources and see no return.
As far as location pinball goes, it's never going to be perfect. I'm happy these folks are open to having tournaments and listening when issues are reported. Repairs should get faster as they start building a parts inventory and learn the ins and outs of the games. Also, we do try to refine the list of tournament games used each month based on what games have show stopping issues. If you know a game has such an issue, please mention it before the tourney starts and everyone will be much happier

It may seem all I do is bash this place on this post but I'm incredibly grateful there is a place so close and with so many actually working, good condition machines. I tend to forget that they didn't have any machines here prior to these so things are always slower with a new adventure.
Good to hear about the planned repairs in the works Art. I saw you posted a monster game on ACDC today, something like 257m? Crazy game man, grats.
Went with a coworker and his son tonight after work. The ship wasn't working on POTC, and the ball kept getting stuck on the Avengers where it comes down and releases for multiball, but had a good time and enjoyed myself. That TSPP needs it's flippers rebuilt in a big way.
Met MRG there, bent his ear a bit while he played, nice guy.
Coworker showed a little kid how to play after he had started a game and didn't have a clue what to do. Funny to hear the little kids come in and say things like "Wow, the Avengers, cool, look, Transformers!", and then walk out.
I'm sure they will keep the pins playing well. It would be stupid to invest so much money into having 18 machines and not have a plan to keep them running well. As far as the code updates, AC/DC does run the newest version with VIP passes, ect. Not sure about the rest of the machines.
Going to head down to the May tourney. Any WI people want to carpool? Save a few bucks on gas and have someone to chat with on the way there and back?
You guys might as well turn this into a local Illinois thread, with a place like this as the cornerstone of discussion. We did the same thing based around Game Galaxy in Tennessee and it's been a great experience. The place has 30+ pins.

last time it had 1.63 that has vip passes. 1.65 is latest.
I visited this casino for kids last weekend, and had full run of the pinball room on a Saturday afternoon. I quickly dropped approximately thirty American dollars on Stern (& one Sega) games (I'm not very good).
I'm glad this place exists but it says a lot about the future of the game that only twice in two and a half hours did I see any other visitors in the room. I will visit again when the Metallica machine is in place, if they haven't already removed the pins to replace with more redemption games.
Quoted from flerp:I'm glad this place exists but it says a lot about the future of the game that only twice in two and a half hours did I see any other visitors in the room
depends on what day you go. If it's during the week it doesn't surprise me. On a saturday night, the pin room is at least halfway full at all times.
At lunch they were wheeling in a Metallica box but I spoke with the owner and he said they are setting up the 2 Metallica's tomorrow. So not today, but tomorrow! He also mentioned he has 2 Wizard of Oz's on order.
We have to make sure that this place gets business from the pinheads on a more regular basis otherwise these machines won't be here next year at this time. So if you only show up once a month for the tournaments, get out here more often!
wow that is fantastic, I can't wait to go back. Anyone who hasn't visited, this place is really cool and worth the trip.
Metallica tom you say? Hmm... might have to try to make an appearance! Man, I missed the tourney again... damn you real life!

I don't think you missed it. Next Tuesday I think, right Art?
