Tempted to pick up a Flash...
...already have the Gorgar
As it turns out, my only two pins are mid eighties classics. Two great games that play very differently from each other, so it is nice to get a few games on one, then switch gears (no pun inteneded) for some games on the other.
As you can see, I had to move the High Speed topper to a small shelf in between the games. The ceiling in my basement is just a few inches too short for it on the backbox.

I picked up 1980 Williams "Alien Poker" last weekend at Texas Pinball Festival for a cool $500! (Thanks again, Conner) I know there are a lot of purists out there that don't like to see LED's on these older pins. What is the majority take on this? I'd love to see how this game would look with the update.

I think the LEDs look great in anything say... 1979 or newer. However, I tried putting Cointaker retro LEDs in the GI for my Space Shuttle and got the "strobing effect" on the ball when it was down by the slingshots. Also I had cool whites and I didn't like that look. I'd like to try the warm whites, but I am afraid I will still have that strobing look on the ball. I used all LEDs in the inserts of course.
meSz... Jesus dude, I think I could eat off the inside of your cabinet or backbox on that Bobby Orr. That level of detail on a restore is crazy (in a good way).
Quoted from SunKing:I posted on Page 2 of this thread, but I've since added a Flash to the collection.
The first pic is before, 2nd is after.
So you put some LEDs in it? Big deal! (just kidding... looks amazing!)

How did it play before? j/k...looks beautiful now...why wasn't it at TPF?

On "Alien Poker" when the 10,J,Q,K,A drop targets are down, the GI is almost blinding. I've got to do SOMETHING about it. LOL I may play around with some colors this weekend, and see if I can get a "warmer?" feel from it. Fun game btw.

That's nice Gerry. Real nice.
New blood in the collection: 1980 Bally Space Invaders. Another Jim Patla/Paul Faris beauty (think Centaur). I love the monster playfield and unique gameplay. This one is a very clean survivor. I'm thinking very low routed if not questionable HUO possibility. Probably a stretch, but it's that nice in and out.

It's beautiful. Is that your house?
I don't play a lot of early 1980s pins, but they're something to look at. With a little more money, and a little more room, I'd build a collection. Right now, I only have an Elektra, and that's just about right for a small collection of 4 pins.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I need to add a Stargazer and Catacomb to my collection some day.
It is a killer multiplayer game where you can either play head to head with pinball points or football points. The ramp that rises out of the play field and goal posts that go up to score field goals or extra points are great toys

I was so curious to see it that I went and watched a couple YouTube videos on MNF. I can't believe I've never come across this pin over the years. Nice, MAJRob.
Quoted from 2FlippedOut41Mo:Neat MNF. I don't think I've ever seen one of those.
I used to play one all the time when it was newish...haven't seen one in decades though.

Awesome thanks! My family, friends and I absolutely love it. If you ever come across one pick it up, you won't be disappointed. Plus you can still score plastics and stickers for it.

Now I just need a Catacomb and Excalibur to go along with them...

Great trio pic there. Played SoF a couple of years ago at Allentown - surprisingly good fun. Still have yet to play Arena or D&D.
I saw a D&D at the MGC in 2013 and was really excited to be able to play it.... It was turned off the entire day that I was there. Big disappointment as I have not seen another since.

Love the Irem/Williams Moon Patrol.
Here is my almost all 80's collection. The two 70's pins are not pictured.

Not sure why my pic is not showing up?
