8 Ball Deluxe Sound Not Working Properly and More

    I have had a pinball repair person attempting to get my 8 Ball Deluxe game working properly, again. He has been out at least six times, but the game is still not working correctly. The biggest two issues are that the sounds do not coincide with the proper actions (for example, every time the ball makes contact with a bumper, I get the drained ball sound). Also, whenever I press the right flipper, the score increases by 3000 points and when I do the same to the left flipper, I get 6000 points. I have replaced every major board and all lights in the past three months. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    For the bumper sound issue...does it make that sound when any bumper is hit, or just one of them?

    If it's one of them, then check diodes on the switches on related items in the rows and columns in the manual.

    If it's more than one, might want to double check your backbox connectors aren't off a pin on the Squawk and Talk. It's easy to do this when swapping boards.

    Flashing bumpers are worth 3000....so you might want to double check the diodes on the bumper switches and make sure those are wired right. Maybe they are firing when you hit the flippers or at least the game thinks they are.

    Good luck and post what the solutions are if you figure them out.
