Ok so here we go.....since there were no instructions on how to do this, and I really could find any here on how to do this, here is what I did. Please learn by my mistakes.
First lesson I have learned is.... the translite is bigger than the original backglass. Of course I just assumed that it would be the same size, but it's not.
So not knowing this, or even thinking about, it I went to my local Menards store and bought 2 sheets of 3/32 inch thick glass and cut it the same size as the translite. I then peeled back the protective film, place the translite between the 2 sheets of glass and took two plastic trim pieces that I had, and the old lift channel of my old backglass (which looks like crap, need a new one) and put those on the sides and bottom to hold it together. The thickness was right a 3/16 inch (I at least got that right)
Man it looked freaking awesome, way better than I thought it would. Took it over to the machine....and guess what? It's too freaking big!!!! It won't fit. It about a 1/2 inch too big all the way around. Man did I feel like an idiot!!
So I got to cut the glass down again, hopefully without breaking it, and we see it that works. But here is a picture of what it looked like with the glass.
