Quoted from timab2000:A little block of wood maybe to keep it from hitting the wall I don't know.
Maybe the neck is separating from the cabinet so someone put it there to reinforce it??? You might want to check if the neck is loose.

Quoted from Kolk1:If you absolutely smack dragons den, it doesn’t go off.
The Dragons Den standup target switch is supposed to have a capacitor (0.05uF) across it to prevent this. Does it?
Quoted from Kolk1:I even tried 2 in parallel to see if double the capacitance would help.
What happened when you put two caps in parallel there?
Post some real clear pictures of the switch wiring.
Quoted from Kolk1:How is the switch wiring bad if light-med/hard hits work perfect?
It is possible to incorrectly wire the switch such that the diode/capacitor are floating making them ineffective which still results in the switch operating normally with slow/medium hits but not high speed hits.
Good luck resolving it.
