My name is Fred and I'm in Gonzales La tween Baton Rouge and New Orleans

I'm handy with tools and have allot of mechanical and electrical sense but little electronic sense. I do have a VOM

Just bought a non-working pin off craigslist. I gave a hundred bucks for it.

The guy said he bought it 6 months earlier and it had been in storage forever.

He plugged it in, he said it came to life ding ding ding reset and then went to nothing, lights went out.

Said he found a blown fuse (upper board) replaced it and nothing. Didn't know what to do next sold he sold it to me.

Here is my observation:

I see 4 fuses 1 light fuse to the back board was burned... replaced and plugged it in

back board lit up said 0 games and in tilt (the tilt mech has been disabled)

the 2 coin mech lights come on

there is no sounds and no other lights coming from anywhere

looks like there is no power or lights to the playing field at all...

I advanced the counter to 2 games just to see... and nothing.

Question: Where do I begin?

I'm thinking I should start at the big transformer in the back?

Thanx in advance

Thank you... fuse is goes and games/credits were added still nothing?
Yes it looks like the pic.
Further diagnosis please?

Added over 8 years ago: Thank you, Mine does look like that... fuses are all good and checked properly. Games/credits were manually added.

Still absolutely nothing. Read there are 5 fuses in this mmachine, I can only find 4?

Further help please?

Thanx in advance

I hear you loud and clear Doc... thanx for the input... actually I looked over all mechs for signs of gumming etc etc

I did check for manuverability.

But in essence it should do something... if not, at least burn up... the electricity either is or is not there.

So I'm looking for a starting point.

"no insult intended"

Thanx in advance

Great news... there was a bounce switch on the lower board that has brought the beast back from the dead...

obviously it needs some cleaning and adjusting... but what I do need right now ... is

1.) that full schematic would be awesome help

2.) would love to have a manual for the princess or the queen don't wanna spend 30 bucks

3.) I have 3 relays getting extremely hot and one of them has burnt the paper off so I cannot identify the part number

It the first relay on the left directly across from the BX last ball relay... see the attached pic

Thanx everyone in advance You've all been a great so far...
