I read this thread with great disdain. I would practically donate a kidney for a repro playfield from CPR.

If someone has a nos or pristine FB EM playfield, what would actually be the cost to scan it? Perhaps the people who are interested in getting one could all chip in and pay for the scan of it/transport costs/etc? I know that I would be willing to.

Is there any news on this or am I simply bumping a dead thread?

I am interested and would gladly contribute my pro rata share of shipping, insurance, scanning, etc. Heck, even more than my pro rata share. My FB playfield makes a big sad face on my every time I look at it.

No playfields have been done yet. Apparently there was someone a while back who had a pristine playfield but there were some issues in CPR getting it from that person. I'd be in for a FB (EM) playfield in a HEARTBEAT if they were offered, as Fireball was the very first machine I every played, and while the one I have is mechanically sound, the playfield on it is worn.

If it would help, I'd send MY playfield to CPR to scan, but there would be a lot of correction work as mine has worn areas, some planking of the paint, etc. (as is expected of these 43 year old playfields).

Quoted from DallasPinball:

If the 72 Bally Fireball playfield and plastics were reproduced I would buy a set. I finally found and picked up a project Fireball a few weeks ago after five years of searching for one...
I hope the screens that PPS found are usable and that this is made in the next year or two...

I wasn't aware that PPS had the screens from the '72 playfield. Has CPR been in contact with them about possibly getting/using the screens? (Stu, wanna chime in here?)

Quoted from PPS:

We did find the 72 Films for Backglass and Playfield (so far), so will look thru, make sure they are good and then have the discussion likely with CPR, who is probably in the best position to produce them.
