Quoted from jewboyflowerhead:

The diode in qustion is a 1n958b

D1 zener 1N958b (7.5V 0.5W) is on the control board,
D1 MR751 is on the PowerModule, used to rectify 14Vac for the regulator

The MR751 can be replaced by a 6A1.

Quoted from jewboyflowerhead:

Any suitable sub for the the 1n958b? Do the specs need to be exact in this situation?

I'm not sure about the purpose of the diode but I would replace it with the same specs.
