I have an open d1 zener diode for a bally 6803. The diode in qustion is a 1n958b. Per clays guide, any 6a1 diode can be substituted. Can someone translate this for me or give an example?

Doh! You're right. I clipped the wrong section of the guide. Any suitable sub for the the 1n958b? Do the specs need to be exact in this situation?

Quoted from G-P-E:

1N958B is still made but you can also use a somewhat easier to find 1N5236B.

Found it, thanks guys
