Had a few friends over last night. This was the lineup.

    Quoted from Grandnational007:

For any of the usual (or unusual) gang headed to Pintastic this weekend, I’ll be in tow with a couple gems.
Reaching semi-deeply into the cabinet, an owa private barrel pick, bottled in 2016, will be the main swiller. Barreled in 2009, this fella was put to the wood 4 years before JJP WOZ was released to the public in its first iteration.
The second will be a more recent ER10 pick, that absolutely blew my socks off. Being very uncharacteristic of the standard bottling, this one has the most sumptuous, oily, mouthfeel of ANY ER I’ve EVER had, and has earthy tones of coffee, oak, and leather, all while retaining that distinct and familiar BT mash#1 profile fans of the expression love.
The third…well, it’s a secret. And probably won’t get cracked unless I make finals in the Silverball Rumble Tournament. Which is very unlikely, haha. Only clue is that some might consider it to be “antique”, and a lot harder to come by this year.
Looking forward to tipping a few back right on the floor, and sharing some goodness with old and new friends alike, especially after being cooped up the last 20 months.
If you know, you know. And if you don’t, now you do. Cheers!

I will be making my first trip to Pintastic and would love to partake in some swilling! I didn't think about bringing something, but now I think I will so I can share. I'm new to the bourbon world, so I don't have anything super impressive to bring, but I will try and at least bring something good!

FYI - I can't be missed. I will be the guy in the crazy pants.

    Quoted from Grandnational007:

I certainly remember the pants from the last Pinburgh, haha! I think we played in a group together, if I remember correctly.
And no pressure whatsoever, don’t worry about bringing anything other than maybe a plastic cup (which I’ll try to remember to bring this year so everything doesn’t go so fast with bottle chugs!)

I want to bring something. Make a pick.

Understood. Do you have any of the five?

Are you looking for any of these 5, any year?

    Quoted from stompeN:

I Just can’t believe some of the bourbon you guys have in this group. I’m almost embarrassed to post on here. Just finished putting together my little bar shelf in the game room. Hope to add some special bottles to it one day. Cheers[quoted image][quoted image]

It doesn’t matter how big or small your collection is. What does matter is you have the best bourbon of all time in your collection. Smoke Wagon. Enjoy!

    #1606 10 days ago
    Quoted from stompeN:

Yap Smoke Wagon gets smoked pretty quickly over here. House favorite! Need to grab a few more !

I’m sitting on 5 bottles, but need more. It’s not available in DE, so I gotta make occasional trips to NJ to grab some.

    Quoted from nickrivers:

I’ll get you guys all the Smoke Wagon in the world, I just need to get my hands on a damn EH Taylor Barrel Proof.

I can get it all day long for you here, but most of the time the pricing is on the higher side. How much are you willing to spend on it? I can get you a bottle or 2 tomorrow.

    Quoted from Cheeks:

Which Smoke Wagon are you guys into? My local Costco has the Small Batch for ~$55 and the Uncut Unfiltered for ~$75. Never tried either. From what I've read, people seem to like the Uncut/unfiltered much better.

Uncut is good, but I prefer the Small Batch.
