Quoted from Blutarsky:I checked my K&Q and the '68 parts manual. Didn't see the spring(s). Possible filler from another source?
I checked the manual too, not found there. They definitely came from the strip down from each game.
The Slick Chick plays perfectly and the playfield releases nicely so I am stumped too.
Thanks for taking the time to look.

Quoted from pinwiztom:wild guess, maybe from the Playfield release latch??
Not standard for that mech, but a cheap/poor substitute.
You made me think about this type of use. I think I have found the place the spring was used. The early 60’s games I found these springs on have the same lockdown moulding slide lever.
I placed it as the picture on the K&Q and it tightens up a loose lever. When you release the lever to remove the lock bar sometimes as we all know we close the door and trap lever with the coin mechs or receiver. If the spring is fitted it immediately snaps the lever out of harms way and no incidents with the door.
Spring seems to have the perfect torsion when used to close the lever. The spring will fit on the Slick Chick too if needed. Not a regular part but as I have two in two games with this lockdown lever it may have been an optional part offered offered if the lever became loose.
