In following my brothers advice, as he is working Globally with many companies in this field, Governments, and Large Corps,
Ive chosen to invest in a 5G ETF.

When in operation, it will impact every aspect of our lives with AI.
Still, it is a long way out....

5G should be a game changer for mobile internet. Way faster. Like dsl speeds on your phone. But the transmission distance is limited compared to 4G service, so it will be a long time before we see huge coverage maps across the whole country.

I dont believe all of the propaganda news against Huawei. I understand why you wouldn’t want a foreign government controlled company building your network, but some of the “news” about them has been frivolous and untrue.

In Canada we have a huawei exec under arrest, on American orders, awaiting deportation to USA. With the current world trade climate in the position that it is in, it scares me if it’s going to be all worth it for a 5G network.

I’m paraphrasing, don’t want this to turn political. I think 5G will be great, but the road to completion will be rocky.

So does computer usage and coffee and wheat based products and sugar and cotton blends and standing and sitting and the sun and water......
I'll just hole up in my house until all these health risks are gone.

5G and other wireless technologies are quite regulated to ensure safe operations, see eg https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/wireless-devices-and-health-concerns and https://www.fcc.gov/engineering-technology/electromagnetic-compatibility-division/radio-frequency-safety/faq/rf-safety

Short millimeter waves that require more repeaters. 5g itself is not harmful, its when it is allowed to permeate your skin, getting through the lower epidermis.

One needs to choose one's spy. Choose Cisco if you want the US, Huawei for China, Alcatel for France etc etc.

But don't expect privacy from any of the bastards.

Ya, someone by the water cooler mentioned this the other day.

Said I would become sterile...among other things...

The 5G coverage radii is similar to wifi. It will be interesting to follow the implementation. It appears to be cost inefficient to provide 5G outside of dense population areas. However those customers are likely to have high speed terrestrial connections available over wifi5/6.

Even mmWave frequencies are non-ionizing radiation and will not permeate skin. Also, although mmWave frequencies are new in 5G, it’ll also use the same frequencies as 4G does today - it’s a misconception that 5G is millimeter frequencies only.
