    I actually misunderstood the term innovation as well, I assumed like pezpunk it should not mean novelty. I looked it up just to validate and was surprise to see how wrong I was:
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/innovation

    Definition of innovation
    1 : the introduction of something new
    2 : a new idea, method, or device : novelty

    So by this definition this list is more accurate and obviously subjective as we can all point to a 100 novel things that we feel are important that others disagree with.
