Doesn't that price seem high, or is this what I'd be looking at paying for a machine that has been thrashed, plastics laying about in cabinet, missing shooter rod, needing PCB repairs and a translite in only "good" condition?

If that's what one in this bad shape goes for, I guess I'll never get one anytime soon on my budget. eek

Thanks, that's what I thought, but seems even in this condition, someone feels it is still worth that high. For me, $4500 should be a players game, showing age/wear, but intact and playable.

Not mentioning sources. Just price for condition and what it needed, seems high and was not sure if this price range is what I'd need to expect for a project machine.

Someone did, it sold. Nothing against Coinopwarehouse or Lloyd, love seeing stuff they list. Coke collectibles are listed at fair/market price and prices reflect their condition. Luckily I live where I live, there's been things they list that I would have most certainly purchased, at prices that were a good deal.

Just personally felt this machine should have been much lower due to condition, but clearly people still pay. I'll keep looking locally for a project TAF at a price that reflects that.

I had a reply on it, pointing out the obvious I guess (stating that it doesn't look well looked after, and appears to be missing things, but yet could be brought back to its glory), and that got deleted. Guess it was up to the buyer to do his homework first, but I wouldn't have risked it for that price ever.

Quoted from bigd1979:

He always erases peoples comments if they arnt all positive

Won't fault them on that, their Facebook page (like the Stern thread), my post was more of a "wow that is rough, missing pieces, but would probably fix up nice". I guess stating what I see I way of the bad, caused it to be deleted.

I didn't start this to say anything bad about Lloyd, I only felt IMO that the price was WAY too much for a machine in that condition and needing the work to get it playable. And I know with Lloyd, there's no haggling.

I'd just rather pay $4500-$5000 for an already working player machine personally.
