I just realized today is my 42nd Anniversary with SS Billiards.

42 years ago today my Mother and I unlocked the door and opened up at 3pm and we were off and running. First customer was Mike McNeil.

    I have truly been fortunate.

And only 2,922 days to the 50th Anniversary party. The Golden Goose. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. This one will make the 30th and 40th parties seem tame.

42 years is a long time LTG. Congrats! Do you happen to remember the first pinball machines you had available to play there?

    #3 9 years ago

Congrats Lloyd. The coin op industry and hobby have been fortunate to have you on board for 42 years.

Picture of the back wall in the Spring of 1973.

There was an operator in there then. Line up was 4 Square, Grand Slam, Flying Carpet, Touchdown, Super Star, 2001, Jungle.

The gentleman playing 2001 is Arnie Weinberg. A loyal customer for most of the years until he passed last year.

Nice line-up! I bet most of those machines are still working. Somewhere.

Wow nice accomplishment, why did your family decide on opening a billiards place?

    #11 9 years ago

Congratulations Lloyd and Prada : ) and thank you for all you contribute to the hobby and the help you've given me over the last 14 years!

My Mother bought an existing business with my help. Starting with my Father in 1946, my family has been in the coin op industry ever since.

Congrats! 42 years is amazing for any small business, let alone coin-op (plus your side business of sharing your knowledge here). I wish you as many more years of success as you want!

    #33 9 years ago

    Congrats LTG!
The 50th birthday is on my agenda but I hope I will visit SS billiards again in the meantime!

    Lloyd -

I know with all you have done for me, someone you have never met personally, that YOU are the reason for your success.

I have met nobody quite like you. Congratulations on 42 years!

How many of those have involved the cheese pump?
