If you need your IFPA points, this is the way to get them!
In the Dallas area on the weekend of 9/10 - 9/11.

The Vector Makerspace crew is running an ALL EM IFPA tournament on Saturday 9/10 at 2 PM
Their event page is https://www.facebook.com/events/877278205738932/ ...
No cash payouts but a good, fun EM tournament for IFPA points

Then on Sunday September 11 is the 4th Annual Alan Marx Memorial Charity Event.
Event page for this event is: https://www.facebook.com/events/980191658763247/
I have 18 pinball machines so each event will be on different machines (per the rules)
    This event will have:
Main IFPA tournament - $20 to play - Top 3 awarded restaurant gift cards ($100 for first place) - Top 4 awarded tropies
Side IFPA tournament - $10 to play - HALF of all money coming into this tourney will be paid out (other half goes to the charities)
D/FW Pinball "Summer League II" event - Free to play - no payouts

THAT'S FOUR WAYS TO GET IFPA POINTS IN THE DALLAS AREA IN 2 DAYS. DEFINITELY WORTH THE TRAVEL!

Last year I had around 30 people for ONE IFPA event which didnt pay out anything -- had one person from Chicago, one from Oklahoma, and two others from distances greater than 200 miles included in that. So THIS year, with multiple tournaments and multiple payouts? well sounds like it should be big. . . I hope to see you there!!

Just got confirmation of one IFPA player coming from Chicago to play in this Texas event!
Who's next? let me know if you're travelling!

Not final by any means, so its subject to change, but thinking the breakdown of games for the tournaments might be:

    Main Tournament:
    1. Baby Pac Man
    2. Doctor Who
    3. Junkyard
    5. Medieval Madness LE
    6. Scared Stiff
    7. Spiderman (Stern)
    8. Star Wars (20th anniversary ROM)
    9. Terminator 2
    10. Terminator 3
Backup Game 1 in case of Failure: Attack from Mars
Backup Game 2 in case of Failure: Lord of the Rings
(Chose these backup games because they have such long time per game played so they only get used if needed)

    Side Tournament
    1. Bally Campus Queen
    2. Williams Cyclone
    3. Bally Dungeons & Dragons
    4. Williams Space Shuttle
Backup Game in case of Failure: Orbiter 1

CASH GAME FOR CASH BOX TORUNAMENT (winner gets 50% of cash in game - other 50% goes to the charities)
    Data East Jurassic Park

Apparently there has been some confusion. My event is on September 11th which is SUNDAY. I bring this up because 3 different people each sent private messages to me within the last half a day asking about my event on Saturday. The Vector Makerspace event is Saturday. I will, of course, be at both events but my event is Sunday.

The Saturday event will have one ifpa tournament.
My event on Sunday will have to ifpa tournaments and to DFW pinball League event.

The link to my event is:
