How dare you bring attention to this awesome deal?

Condition: MINT IN BOX

Their estimated price may be a bit low for that condition.

Quoted from Pinball-is-great:

I sent ForceFlow a heads up msg earlier today about all this after I read coz's post.

There are no red flags in the profile info, as far as I can tell.

Geez, another new Pinside term, MIB=Mint In Box!!

or WNIB= Was New In Box

#158 5 years ago

I did contact the seller and asked twice where I could see the machines, radio silence after the 2nd request.

Time for a sting operation. Detectives buying the pins with marked bills. Go get them thieves!

#164 5 years ago

Even if these were the stolen machines, how would one prove it? Are the serial numbers for the missing machines known?

#165 5 years ago

only a few ways to find out . . .

#166 5 years ago
Quoted from vdojaq:

The stolen machines were a Night Moves and a Carribean Cruise, right? These are advertised as two Night Moves machines.

#167 5 years ago
Quoted from chippe01:

Maybe the buyer noted the serials when he won the auction or the stolen pins have sequential serial numbers with those left behind. There could also be identifying features in the auction photos or any photos taken by the buyer after the auction.

#168 5 years ago

anything is possible here, including absolutely nothing to do with the current look out for the stolen pins . . .

Having been on the wrong side of the pin detectives before that does not matter. People with too much heart and not enough brains make innocent people's lives hell.

The ad could be purposely written in a way to throw us Pin detectives off from his trail. That Night Moves in the ad could be the stolen Night Moves.

I suspect every Night Moves and/or Carribean Cruise I see come up for sale to be the ones. Even the ops own ad for the ones he still has. hahaha! Really I was like, "Hey that's one from the stolen storage unit". Then looked at who was selling it. The op.

That was my FB post. Just here to clear my name. Bought from a guy in Green Bay off of Craigslist yesterday. With the old looking scratches in the glass, Wisconsin Amusement license, location, and chip off the wood, I don't think this is one of the machines.

Oh, and I did snag a Craigslist snapshot before it was taken down.

Edit: The seller doesn't seem to know anything about pinball. There's no way this guy stole these machines lol. Him and his wife live in a fairly expensive house in the middle of the country, and this game was purchased with a restaurant lot he had purchased. He was showing me some of the restaurant equipment purchased. He also had a bouncy ball pinball vending machine for sale from the same purchase. P.S. Luxemburg is just outside of Green Bay, WI.

Wow! What a coincidence. A brand new pinsider is selliing 2 new pins that he “inherited from his uncle”. I hope these aren’t the same missing pins

Do you guys even look at the pics before you go on these witch hunts?!?!?! lol

That Night Moves and Caribbean Cruise are CLEARLY NOT NOS and NOT FROM THIS SALE! Just look at the main inserts and the lettering on the window!

Now every poor sol trying to sell there NM or Cc are going to be hunted down and burned at the proverbial stake! lol

Remember were on the lookout for 2 NOS games, the NM is going to be drop dead mint and Cc is going to smell like mouse piss and look sorta minty assuming he cleans it up. The stolen Cc also has some serious uv damage in the jewel posts, post rubber, pinks on the plastics from not having the box on it and being exposed all those years.

Actually just noticed something, I'll bet that Caribbean Cruise is extensively chewed up inside and even tho its a System 1 there's no way it can be working. Check out the 3 coil paper covers the mice drug onto the pf, the one on the left hand side is a flipper blue coil label! Look for someone parting out a Caribbean Cruise I'd say or one with extensive repairs.

Yup, pretty much. I understand though.

I think it would be one of the main highlights of the year here on Pinside if we could help find the stolen pinball machines, get them returned to proper owner, and get word that the thieves have been caught and arrested.

That would be great!

It is also well known that “Pinball Detectives” do very well with the ladies also. Look out girls!

Nope! No one is saying anyone is guilty. We are all just passing along info to help the op out.

It is sort of catchy phrase. I like it. Good one.

I know man I’ve been looking out for him too..the op is not the victim though. It’s just kinda ironic how this thread has panned out and has turned into a witch hunt. By all means I hope we find them..and the crooks responsible

It hasn't been a witch hunt from what I've observed. Just basically folks posting links to ads saying "could this be it?"

Sorry you're totally right I always mix those up, System 3 supposedly the best system to date. Looks like either the top flipper coil label or trough label, a popbumper white coil label and a kickout yellow coil label.
