I'd definitely +1 the Roadshow option. It's the one I have that my GF gravitates to the most. She also likes modes a lot(in this case cities).

RS has 4 flippers. Cool ramps with diverters that return the ball in different places. Easy to understand. *theme does not objectify women (important consideration for my collection lol).

This is the second time I've owned one. I like the simplicity and I have installed the new custom code (available on Pinside) that makes it a bit more balanced. I haven't beaten it yet with the new code.

The biggest complaint I've heard about this game is the c/w music. Personally I find it suits the theme perfectly. I'm not a c/w fan btw. Sounds awesome with an external sub but then again most pins do lol.

    Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

What "Data East thing"? That's a silly preconception if I've ever heard one. TFTC is a great shooting 90's title & lots of fun. Best DE best title hands down IMO.
It's pretty simple tho. If you want a used Stern Pro, then just be patient & save up for one. Don't settle for something other than what you really want, because you'll likely regret it later. And don't listen to anyone's opinions other than your own because everyone has their own tastes & preferences.
    Happy hunting!

I've owned TFTC twice and liked it a lot but DE was putting out clunky(mechanically loud) machines that all played the same. DMD graphics were recycled a lot, same as sound effects. The modes were all the same. 2 holes in the playfield with a subway to the lower one for the eject. Spinner switches modes, either hole in the playfield starts the mode. Gets repetitive. But I still liked it

Just saying there is such a thing as the "DE thing".
