Hi... no, I didn’t do anything further. Like no fly through or such.

Insert tumbleweed passing through here

I’ll keep you posted. Has anyone heard of Remake number 3 yet? Announced? Release date? Those fabulous guys working on the great remake animations?
I’m a little busy right now and changed pinball priority to quite low.

#702 5 years ago

So, after my promise, that I’ll keep you updated, here is the

Update: I just got confirmation that we tried to contact the license holder several times, but didn’t get any response in 3 months. No email, no phone, no skype.

Not that I made any single cent off these 3D translites (quite contrary shipping to creative winners in Australia is expensive lol!), I’m quite pissed that I have 3 translites ready (100%, 90% and 50%) that can’t be released, but I invested time and energy in these...

#703 5 years ago

PPS can you please provide just a brief update as to the delays?

#704 5 years ago

Seems pretty fishy.

I dont get it with CPR and Mirco at full steam ahead?

I suspect... the rumors are true that Rick may no longer have the license for B/W product.
If so; I'm sad for you guys.
Best of luck

VERY appreciated though

If that's the case. Then game on! These are made overseas anyways. Parts guys in Germany are doing it, decals in England., Mirco, CPR....etc

What are the rumors about who the new license holder will be? Are there negotiations for contracts for things like this?
The silence is weird.

I'm not in the know... It's just been "suggested" in other thread. It may be the CGC#3 thread...

Ok, then - just keep ME posted, please

News, updates, problems?

#714 5 years ago

mayuh have your or Henrik tried contacting Scientific?

#715 5 years ago

Henrik contacted everybody afaik. Not only are we sitting here on work/art done, but also on literally a metric ton of lenticular sheets. No joking 800kg...

I'll ask Henrik to join here...

#716 5 years ago

Good morning everybody,

cause I can join this discussion but I fear I cannot contribute ANY new information. As Mayuh already said - I don't know whatt happened. 3 titles in the pipeline ready to be produced...our printer stocks tons of lenticular foil and isn't happy at all. Soo many people invested time and effort and tons of heart blood...really sad to see this project doesen't proceed...really SORRY guys and girls...I have no other information available at this time ;(

Have fun
Regards

Henrik

#717 5 years ago

Well if Scientific won't respond either, in the absence of a response from PPS, something's definitely up.

#718 5 years ago

Maybe it time to look for other non Bally/WMS titles to 3D... but then licensing on those may be even more complicated without a "single voice"

#719 5 years ago
Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

#720 5 years ago

They're not delays. They're purposely choosing not to acknowledge or respond.

#721 5 years ago
Quoted from rubberducks:

It is seeming like that... maybe just wishful thinking on my part that this is just a delay. It would really be a shame if these do not get made as they look amazing and a ton of time has gone into them.

Quoted from Pinball-Dreams:

I bought a Medieval Madness 3D translite through Planetary Pinball Supply. If this is the way they do business I am REALLY sorry I did that.

I'm not in favor of legal action, but you've been way too patient already. In my opinion it's time to get a U.S.-based lawyer involved to interpret your contract to understand what your options are. At a minimum PPS should not be blocked from selling these (they are still available on their website).

#723 5 years ago

Sue who seriously, maybe pps have another supplier or doing them themselves

If I had the license still and you contacted the licensor I would kick you to the kerb as well.

Theres no good reason PPS, aka Rick is dragging his feet on this. PPS has been selling the 3D titles for awhile to some success.
Also, Rick has no staff to make these or design team. Would cost them more to outsource design to US based developer.
Rick is dragging his feet for some reason wayne and you know it.
Same can be said for many parts with years of promises to get stuff made.
ALL Black Rose ramps, canon shell, translight...long list on this title. I also could go thru every table and list the parts that need making.

#725 5 years ago

I don't see why Rick/PPS wouldn't support as many vendors as possible, who want to license products. Isn't that why he bought the license?

Perhaps company who bought Williams and Bally are the ones changing or cancelling the licensing agreement with PPS.

All the Williams/Bally Pinball Arcade tables were pulled too so lots of vendors being affected.

#726 5 years ago

I see no good reason to sue anyone - at least from my side - as no real money/inovices/financial loss is involved. My only loss is time and faith in promises made.
Also the US law is somewhat not exactly what I would like to challenge from this side of the pond

See, Henrik and I are friends, and I did everything for the sake of making a cool product. And Henrik restores some playfields for me as a counter deal only our printing expert has invested quite a pile of money for that pile of lenticular sheets.

It’s really sad to see a cool product fade away.

...and I still don’t have a F14/?B/totan/C???? 3D translite (proto) installed because they don’t exist...

#727 5 years ago

I suggest you contact Rick

he has been away and is now back

Have a Holiday or a well earned Break before the MBR release

What do you think we tried to do since march?

Glad he’s back... Pinball-Dreams ....

Glad he’s back... pinball-dreams ....

Easy. Start manufacturing, and accidentally activate a webshop. He will contact you within split second.

#731 5 years ago

Wouldn't surprise me if he's trying to get someone to reverse engineer what you did and then sell it himself.

That would surprise me, I think he is into licensing and selling, not manufacturing.

Not going to happen.
I hoping all of Ricks attention and time has been on MBr. Once realeased he gets back on track taking care of his vendors that have made parts and money for him for years.
Rick, its an email. Return them! These guys have worked hard and you've sold plenty of 3D translites on website.

I saw a WH2O 3D translite in person the other day. Not as much depth as I thought, and the woman in the foreground was quite blurry... Disappointing.

#740 5 years ago

Apparently he's not dead:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-cab-art-bally-midway
but apparently he's more interested in helping someone other than these guys. :sigh:

Is this product really dead? I can’t believe it.
Is there any chance that you guys could work with original artists to make original 3D alternate translates?

Maybe, Aurich might allow his Shadow or ACDC artwork to be recreated in glorious 3D.

You can’t imagine how much I hate it.

For the WH2O translite mentioned above: this motive just isn’t ideal for 3D converting thus you don’t see what you might expect. Go and find a RFM, FT or FH

Soooo sad. I have the RFM and LOVE it.

Still hoping this all comes thru eventually.
Should we all email Rick?

#748 4 years ago

Maybe we should camp on Rick's doorstep and hold a rally (peacefully......or otherwise )
Really sorry to hear the news Mayuh cause it's obvious the amount of work and dedication that has gone into all the titles completed so far. Hoping this isn't the end, there's a bunch more pin titles that would be great candidates.

#749 4 years ago

In the meantime, would it be worth the effort to work with custom translite creators to make 3D versions of their work?

Bump for this. When I saw this thread active again, I halfway expected to read about a new 3D MB translight announcement.
