Quoted from mitchzizzle:Hey maybe you guys can help me with a value check - local 3D printer is quoting approx $40 CAD / unit if I want to print the Dr Dude Big Shot, printed in ABS for strength, best detail possible. Does this seem like a reasonable deal?

I would be looking into ASA for that print.
Anyone ever run across a 6.5in to 8in speaker adapter ring STL file? I have a pile of stock spike 2 subs i would like to toss into some of my classics.
Quoted from kingpinman:Hi, Everyone
I was wondering if there are any 3D printing experts that would be able to make a rubber target cover. (not sure how to describe it).
This is for a united 5th inning shuffle puck game.
hopefully pics will show what I need.
Anybody interested?
Thanks

100% doable for someone that prints in TPU.
Quoted from BobLangelius:Why do these parts look different?
One looks to be glued to the bottom of the steel frame. The other looks like it was designed to drop into the top of the steel frame.

It almost looks like the one removed is missing a flange that would make it fit into the metal bracket like a grommet. Either way the swinks design that drops in from “top” should still work. A small 1mm wedge shape could be added towards the top that would be printable without supports and provide a bit of protection from popping back out.
Quoted from kingpinman:Here are a couple more pics that might make things clearer. Also these target flaps are 68 years old cracking and brittle. Some of the rubber has fallen off over the years.
Hope to get more precise measurements soon and get those to you.
Thank you[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Very doable and yes as I suspected very grommet like... Those printed in TPU will outlast all of us.
