While I am not new to 3D fabrication, it has been at least 8 years since Ive paid attention to it.

In an off topic question, I wish to purchase an existing stl file, and have someone print it for me to assemble.

In the Past, it was shapeways, and a few others to upload the file and get a quote.

I was wondering today if there are any new recommendations for quality and cost effectiveness, or there was anyone here
interested in providing the service and print, to be paid for, of course.

I havent purchased the file yet, found here:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/CrypticPuzzles

But this is a pic of the final print....lots of individual pieces, but I imagine they have been optimized/grouped for printing already.

If successful, its possible Id like to print more.

Immediate small info found "If printing with 20% infill, 0.4mm nozzle, 2 proximity wall, 4 top and bottom layers like the instruction says, 1KG of filament is cutting it really close."

Thank you all.

A Fellow Pinsider has reached out, and has the files, and offered to help.
Very grateful to all.

Thanks for letting me interrupt the thread.

I cant share enough thanks to Mr.Tantrum for reaching out and helping me with printing this project.
The personal therapy to assemble this, and achieve something complete is and was a huge help in my recovery from a stroke.

I wanted to share my public thanks to Chris, and share the printed completion!

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

The question is now that you've built it, can you actually solve it?

Sometimes.....Here is a spoiler solution vid:

I am hoping to ask a question for our most seasoned 3D printers here, and for their work.
Im trying to help a friend, who has Novice CAD and printing experience.

He has made the Shadow grips I offered, and does the most sought after wood Puzzles.
He is aging, and wants to produce some in 3D print over wood.

The issue is clean print, and moving parts, in a mechanical puzzle, say like a lock.
So far, everything comes out needing Sanding, too brittle for repeated use, or internal 90 degree angles needing
close fit, dont work.
Im novice, with old familiarity in Laser resin, Powder printing, but he wishes to start production from 50-a couple hundred pieces.

Is there a commercial Mass Printing Company...that isnt advertised and known for Production of high Quality Print?
Is there a professional here in the field, I can put him in touch with? (Cant do it with Shapeway, etc)

Cost does not need to be at low, just trying to get his work out to the masses.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Has Anyone worked with Metal Filled Filament from Protopasta, or know of other Metal filament?

I'm trying to help a friend 3d print a product to look and feel closest to metal.

He needs around 10 thousand pieces printed over time, in the first product.

It's tricky when one wants to get right to the answers, instead of experimenting.

If this is anyone's wheelhouse, feel free to shoot me a PM.

The company makes conductive filament too. How cool for pin mods to print socket and wiring in a mod, with terminals ready to go on the outside!

Thanks for the help! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Ill pass on the print nozzle.

For these projects, there is minimal stress, and strength needed, it works fine with all other filaments.

This is one example, a puzzle safe thats being printed in Lead Filament
