Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

Not sure if this is what you were asking, but I just disabled LAN only mode so I could use Handy, sent a job with a pause built in, and on my iPhone when the pause layer was reached I received an iPhone alert and a Bambu app alert that printing was paused by the user and I could tap resume to continue the job (which I did). After a few more layers I had another pause built into the print, and the same think occurred.
Have you verified you have notifications enabled for Bambu Handy on your iPhone?

Thanks for checking! Yes I can receive print finished notifs, but not the Pauses. I’ve filed a ticket and report in the bug thread. Tried reinstalling, turning notifs on and off, re-linking my account, but just no luck. It’s weird. But, it’s super helpful to know that this is something I might be able to continue tinkering to solve on my own, instead of awaiting a patch. Thank you!

Quoted from Anony:

Also you can put color swaps into the gcode so it pauses for you and waits.

I think I’ve figured it out for next time. Thank you again; I didn’t even know this was a feature of 3D printers.

Nice! It's a very handy feature, I used to do it manually too and it was a pain.

It probably depends on your printer's way of handling the gcode but with my prusa it pauses the print, lifts the print head, moves it to the side for the filament change and then beeps until you come change it. It's much nicer.

Looks like new firmware for P1S... maybe others too.

I also added a model for barrel spotlights.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6242005

They are fixed to the spotlight with hot glue. Removing them will most likely damage the paint of the spotlight (so I warned you).

Those look really great. Now I need to think of some theme appropriate ways to cover the spotlights on my machines...

Quoted from Good-Times:

Hi fellow 3D printers! I've printed off some playfield jacks which have come in very handy. Wondering if anyone has done something to be used as a playfield holder when it's removed from the cabinet all together? I don't want to get a rotisserie as it may be just one resto that I do, but rather than keep it vertical I'd love to have it sit on the ground (elevated) so I can also do some work on that. I man end up just cutting some wood as blocks and screwing into them through some post holes, but thought I'd just check in case there was some kind of ingenious 3D model that's been created? Cheers!

Did you print in brown and just add the twine to the print? No painting?

#5064 62 days ago

Got P1S number 4 today...it replaces p1s #3 because it was a piece of shit DOA turd....new news...#4 is a noisy piece of dog shit. So that sucks.

Search in this thread for my quiet fan settings to be applied to filament settings.

#5066 62 days ago

I have your quiet settings.... It's important to note that this is #3 in a line, together. I can tell if "one of these things is not like the others" lol.... And this one is. So was the last one. QC going down the toilet I'm afraid.

I have an Ender 3 Pro, rock solid for two years. Recently, the prints started coming out extremely brittle and spongy. They would disintegrate in your hand.

I replaced the plastic extruder with a metal extruder (along with a new stepper motor, new plastic tube and couplings) and recalibrated. As a test, the printer did extrude 100mm with a 200 degree nozzle.

Same issue. Now, the printer won’t extrude any filament. I just ordered a replacement steel nozzle, but is there anything else I can do?

Sounds like underextrusion. Maybe you have a build up at the end of the Bowden tube. There’s no deal in between the Bowden tube and the heating block so stuff can get in there and cause problems

Turn it up to a crazy high temperature - 250
Or higher, and wait and see if anything slowly comes out of the nozzle

Then you can try removing the nozzle and pushing those needles that come with the printer up inside to clear any debris

Thanks I’ll give that a shot. I found a spare nozzle, and after installation, that may have been my problem. It was pretty nasty.

Good tip about the high temp!

Edit: Yup, bad nozzle. Printing again, thanks.

My 3rd unit in the lineup, another p1s is now seemingly functioning after multiple bed leveling and a firmware update. The ams unit is loud af compared to the others though, so it has some kind of an issue. For my last doa Bambu took a month and me having to charge them back to get anything done, so I'm not hopeful about this ams deal, but it's a far less complicated thing than the entire printer being a turd. Just a quick update.

This is what scaling got me. Not sure about it. If anybody has a solution for him, please help out.

I redrew the comma from scratch and mailed him a sack of them last week because scaling them sucked. I think mine worked, but he can chime in.

If you saw the new Stern light and were like.... $500!!!! just like me.... I was like, I can try to make that.

Is it perfect, no.
Is it cool, yes.

The BBL profile is pre painted on the triangles cause I'm not good enough to model them separately and have then flush on the cap.

I did say the same thing. I also said stern pinball never used a classic 70s arrow pop bumper cap on their games so it's bad marketing

Looks like Bambu is going to replace the AMS, not even throw parts at it....I hope that happens, slot 3 is dead and it's noisy++ in the other slots.

Wanted to throw this out there, with 3 of these P1S units running we have some excess capacity right now if anyone needs anything run, if you're doing widgets or other stuff, PM me if you need some contract capacity or just need some help on something.

And ya, I think the light turned out cool ManbearpigOG

For all the 3D printing newbs. My printer had been printing great, but I have moved it a couple times while we built our craft room. In the last week prints have just been real shitty and even had a table of spagheti this morning. I had been doing extrusion tests, messing with print tests, slicer settings, old vs new filament, and z offset. I just went to the basics and found a lot of loose screws. Tightened everything back up and so fare my print going on right now is looking good.

Always check the basic mechanical stuff first when prints start looking bad.

Finally finished the two toppers I've been working on, pretty happy with the results. Huge thanks to DaddyManD for the photos of his topper, really helped me figure out the dimensions for this blank base that I made in Tinkercad. Here's a link to the stl if it's useful to anyone -

It exists as a part you can buy.. typically 3d printing is reserved for unobtanium parts when there are no options

it wasn't available for a while so I had a few versions available including the guide brackets, Pinball Life has reproductions now but they are like the originals which have a weakness in the design or if the guides are missing will twist more and lead to breaks

Anyone ever run across a 6.5in to 8in speaker adapter ring STL file? I have a pile of stock spike 2 subs i would like to toss into some of my classics.

#5092 52 days ago

New bambu software now warns me every print to remove the ams from the top of the printer, open the top and the door. hmm.

I really got the bug. Just shy of 3 months in the hobby and I just ordered a Bambu Lab P1P to replace my budget Elegoo Neptune 3 pro. Looking forward to it coming in.

Has anyone modelled a star rollover by chance? I've done some general google searched but have come up dry. Seems like a good candidate for 3D printing, I just put in a big order with Marco and forgot to add some, and I can't find them on Pinball Life website .
