If you can't model, a 3d printer is almost useless (unless you're going to model very basic shapes, or download thingiverse models).
As far as printers, I've had a flashforge clone for just about a year now, and as long as you upgrade the bed to PEI (and have backup tips and teflon tubes when material gets clogged), you'll enjoy fairly trouble free printing for a mere $360 (prints up to a 9" x 6" x 6" cube volume):

I would suggest if you have issues where one nozzle is tearing your build layer, to remove one and just print single material.
