I took mine to the local truck accessory bed liner shop and had them spray the inside with a layer of the high pressure bedliner material. It has held up for years. Might work to strengthen your printed trunk also...

The high pressure is some pretty tough stuff. It can take a lot of abuse in a truck bed.
