VP has a couple versions of this table. Now the real trick is to get it to work like a real pinball machine.
So now all we need is a 16-core CPU and a really good physics engine, and soon you won't tell the difference between a rendered table playing and the real thing
Haha there's no way. Unless you made this like a pre-rendered "Time Shock" style a real time grafix engine would explode. There is just to much geometry. This is just a tribute to one of my favorite pins i have adored. Firepower when i first saw it kind of put me off visually. Then i bought one, played it, restored it and now i find it as one of the most attractive looking pins i know. In fact i think we should have a poll....(im sure there is one already) but a poll for the best "looking" pinball machine of all time. If you could only have one in your living room, which would it be?
This is incredible work, dude... bravo.
Now 3D print the whole thing
Do you offer your services for custom work?
I have a Firepower, what do you need?
This is funny, usually I'm the one asking for measurements for my own 3d virtual pinball models.
This is really amazing! At first I thought it was real (until I saw the floating flipper bats ) Have you considered doing pre-rendered tables for Visual Pinball? This model of Firepower would be a great place to start.
Quoted from Pinballerchef:You working on any more LBP2 tables??
The last one i did was Firepower. I'm waiting for LBP3 coming out in November before i do anouther one. And also...when i get a machine to emulate

I have and that would be fun but haven't had the time. And this model i can sell on Turbosquid

You have 2
I'm not on the PS4 train yet....it will be awhile before I upgrade....PS3 still has legs for me.
Quoted from 3rdaxis:Where could i see some of your work? I love building and modeling stuff for fun.
Measurements sent for the backbox.
My models are for the 3dArcade MAME/VP/FP frontend, and have to be kept pretty simple (as dozens of them are displayed at the same time in an arcade environment), but they're as accurate as possible. Here's a link to the site: http://www.mameworld.info/3darcade/

Wow what a library of models! Man if i did some proper lighting on those things it would look real as hell.

Thanks man. thats better but I was close hahaha

Neat. With the way you are making the images, it's tricking my mind between real & rendered. You're pulling some neat Matrix illusions here.
You should be working for Farsight.

I know. I wish i was...Or Pinball arcade, Zen pinball, etc..
Did you put in your application? I'm dead serious besides Terminator 2 Chrome Edition this looks like the most realistic rendering of anything pinball related I've ever seen.
Whats nice about doing this model is now, i have a nice little tool box of parts to make more tables. With everyone i make it will get easier because i will have more parts already made.
Quoted from Crash:Did you put in your application?
To where? I would like to do this professionally but idk. Maybe i'll start my own company
I would love to work for a company like Farsight but they are in Cali and i am in NJ.
I'll send them a rez. just for the hell of it. Show them my LBP tables too.

Just sent Farsight Studios a full resume' with plenty of examples of work. Should be interesting if nothing else

I seriously thought this was real. Hahaha
I don't see why you can't work from home. With the skills that you possess I'm sure distance will be a non-issue. It's just data.
Nice work dude!
The global illumination and environment maps do a lot to make it look realistic. Maybe some additional lighting, depth of field and a HDR image for the room lighting will make it look even more realistic.
Meshes look well structured, but the diffuse map for the playfield seems to be at a different pixel density compared to the rest of the items on the playfield.
Overall, awesome work.
Quoted from swedishc:the diffuse map for the playfield
This was the only pic i could find for the playfield..
