In this podcast George and Dave interview Jay, the owner of Free Play Bar Arcade in Providence, Rhode Island. Jay is set to open a second location in Worcester, MA. The interview starts with how Jay started as a video collector and turned that passion into a business. He talks about his collection and how he acquired the hundreds of games necessary in order to fill two business locations.

Jays arcade is open in Providence. He is waiting to see what happens in the next few weeks in Massachusetts. The last thing he wants is to open then have to close. The new location is terrific. Give the podcast a listen. Jay gives a great interview. Thanks for listening.

Such an awesome arcade! Jay does it right with an extensive craft beer selection on multiple taps, 80's music and 80's movies as background imagery on the many HD screens around his arcade.

There is a row of Williams DMD pinball on the back wall of his arcade that you can see at the middle right of the pic.

I visited Free Play Providence last weekend. They are doing an awesome job keeping everybody safe and explaining their new COVID policies to every single person who entered while still ensuring everyone has a great time. They also did temperature checks, contact tracing, plexiglass barriers and took every precaution you could think of. The staff was also great at reminding people to wear their masks properly and I would not hesitate go back during this pandemic.

Clearly they were doing something right because the place was very busy. It gave me some hope that location play can and will return!
