What pin do you buy? tspp is what im thinking..
Quoted from lpeters82:but I was thinking both could be found for around $1800.
Shadow for 1800? Noper. More like 2500 to 2800.
Quoted from emb531:Where can you get a WH20 for 3000-3500?

Long gone though
Hey,
One machine? I'll jump on the TSPP bandwagon. But for $3500, I'd be really tempted to get a lesser sought after DMD and a System 11. I think you could swing that pretty easy; I'd shoot for The Shadow and Pin*Bot, but that's really just splitting hairs and comes down to personal preference.

Quoted from AkumaZeto:Your not gonna touch a huo for less than 4 unless it has issues.
Not sure where you are getting your pricing. eBay isn't a litmus test. Already have 4 PM's from folks who have theirs up for sale in the 3000-3500 range. They just don't command that much.

What i sold mine for, what really nice examples go for. hey go grab it up if they are really that price shit nab it up.
Quoted from Benaar:Is WH2O really a $3k - $3.5k pin now? It's a great game, but I wouldn't think it in the same league as Creature or TSPP.
I think WH2O has definitely passed Creature in value. Percentage wise, the game has shot up more than almost any other in the last couple years. Creature has gone up a bit, but not nearly as much.
Quoted from Benaar:Honest question: Is WH2O really a $3k - $3.5k pin now? It's a great game, but I wouldn't think it in the same league as Creature or TSPP.
Yes it is. The price has shot up a ton in the last year+...quite sad really.
I'd love to see a real nice one for sale in the 3-3.5k range. It's more like 4-5k+ for a nice one. nice boudlers, ramps, topper etc. It's costly. I should of of held on to mine just to score a couple bucks. The value on this one went up quick over the past couple of years. Nice ss's and totan's are starting to get up there too. Seeing the same trend.

I had a chance to buy a Piece of $#!+ WH2O for 1900 a while back and passed up on it, but I haven't seen another one in any condition sell under 3k since then. They are HOT right now, and maybe that's helping to drive the price a little, but I agree with gweem, Whitewater is a more costly pin than Creature nowadays.

iron man is a $4 to 5k game now.. routed may be in that range though.. never seen a routed one for sale though
Quoted from chas010:Super silly simple with less objectives than a system 11 game like EATPM.
Well...AFM only has 6 objectives and super silly fun and people seem to like that just fine.
Oh wait...those prices are recockulus also.
Wh20 has always been a sleeper title. Its loads of fun. When i first got one they where 800 bucks 1500 tops. Now i attribute its massive price increase over the last 5 years due to the reproduction parts. Before there was repro boulders game was cheap. Yeah repro boulders come out game goes up 500 bucks. Whirlpool ramp hits the scene to sky rocket pinball inc ramps into the future. Next thing you know all of them are made available. Making wh20 one of the most expensive games to restore. When they first all landed it was a 900 dollar affair plus 300 for the boulders. 5 yeas ago though you never got your money back out of a game and putting in a cc pf got you less money on the sale. Now Mirco has run the pf there goes 800 bucks. Cabinet decals made available WOOT price goes up. Green lock targets are the only thing in and out of repro right now with the decals. Now is every game worth this NOPE. But i had mine priced at 3500 and it had all new ramps. complete tear down on pf. New targets (reminds me i gotta send new owner his targets) I put new head decals on the game as well.
There is also a massive influx of new Pinball people. This means most cant or wont or dont care to have the ability to restore games or even shop them out. This means prices of games go up more because people like me cater to newcomers but with that comes a price tag. I can teach you to fish or i can just fish for you but your gonna pay for that.
This is truth too i see so many new people that cant or really dont care to learn things they just want plug and play. Well then you pay more. Outside of NIB games i dont look for super uber nice shit. I buy beaters and fix them myself thus saving me some coin and giving me the chance to paint on a canvas.

+1. I wonder if all this boutique french shiz was going on back then? Everything got to be dipped in panty juice and resprayed yada yada...that jacks up the price for real. Finding a sleeper and fixing it up is such a big part of it for me.
Quoted from Pinchroma:What pin do you buy? tspp is what im thinking..
If anyone has a nice TSPP for $3k I'm buying. If you don't buy it first!

Let me know if you find a HUO TSPP under $3500. I already have one and I'd probably buy another.
I have been looking for pins in the same price range. Was looking to get a Scared Stiff at that price but could not find any less than 4.5k. I was also looking for one as a project but for the A/B games I can never find one that needs some TLC.
Put me on the list for a HUO TSPP if they are real or better yet a WH2O. PM me if you have one for sale within the 3-3.5k
Quoted from copperpot:Whitewater is a more costly pin than Creature nowadays.
Wow, I'll consider myself pretty lucky then. I won a WH2O at the Northwest Pinball & Gameroom show a few years back. Actually ended up selling it to a friend for $1600, but then missed it so much I bought it back from him for essentially the same price (I paid him for the cost of a new DMD & 1 ramp he'd put in).
It's a keeper now for sure. The cabinet & head aren't in the greatest condition but the playfield is great and it plays perfectly.
Rule number one: Don't buy a pinball till you play it... At least for 30 minutes, preferably an hour or two...TSPP is not a good first pin...it's complicated, lot's of stop and go. Try your hands at something fun like Funhouse, The Addams Family or Monster Bash, White Water...etc...
Quoted from chas010:WH20 Super silly simple with less objectives than a system 11 game like EATPM. Whatever though its your money.
I don't think so.... Vacation jackpot is very hard to get to. EATPM was so easy it's a shame... I didn't keep that pin long at all verrrrrrrrrrry boring game. I think WH20 was the longest pin I owned and I maybe got to VJ once. WH20 is great game and if it wasn't for space I'd still have it but I put it out there at a pretty high price and never figured I would get it but I did so I sold it.
WH20 is great first pin. I love FH too but it got easy quick.
TSPP is a hard game and less flow but super deep and will never leave my collection. Wouldn't sell my HUO for less than 4k.
Good luck and try and play any title for awhile as stated to make sure you really want to have it in your home and play it all the time
