Hi,

I am unfamiliar with the pinball machine marketplace so I am coming here for some guidance! I have a buyer for 3 machines (The Sopranos, Lord of the Rings and NASCAR). He owns a local shop and is coming in to check out the machines but I am curious as to how I should price them. Any guidance here?

Obviously Id like to get the most I can without blowing up the deal so any input will be helpful. Thank you!

You should price them based on their condition and based on what other people have been paying in the past for similar condition pins. However, all pricing is relative and past sales and the internet should only be used as a guide. In the end, it comes down to making a deal that works for both you and the buyer. You say you'd like to "get the most"... however, without knowing more details it's impossible to tell you what the most is for your particular pins.

I'm no expert, but condition is everything -- a machine could be worth half (or less) in poor condition or 50% more in pristine condition. But as a rough starting point for good condition:

Sopranos: 3500
LOTR: 5500
NASCAR: 3000

If buying all three, I'd look at knocking maybe 500 off. Upload some pics and I'm sure you'll get plenty of comments.

It doesn't sound like you have the right customer if you're trying to get the most you can. If he's got a shop, he's most likely looking to resell them. An end user will usually pay more.

My estimate for a starting point in average used condition (to me this means needs cleaning, needs new rubber, has some broken plastics, requires flipper rebuild, needs switch adjustments, but playfield has no wear)

LOTR 4600, Sopranos 3200, Nascar 2500

Where are you located?

Condition is key. Can you play the game? Is the artwork on the playfield perfect or can you see paint worn down to the wood? Is the cabinet faded with wrinkled decals? Are the boards damaged from leaking batteries?

If you have to buy a board it's around $250. Replace a playfield, $300-$1000 or more.

Don't fall for the line "I have to make a profit." What the buyer does with the games is no concern of yours. You either get a price you're happy with or you sell them to someone else.

Another factor is if that were home use only or if the were used by an operator.

Is the op too-many-pins?

I was jk btw^^^

If you want the most just list them on the market place and have people discuss the post. That way you will get everyones opinion on the price. You can also look at older posts to see prices of recently sold items. Good luck!!!

I agree, if you have the time, get some end user offers. 2 of your 3 machines are in demand, shouldn't have difficulty getting interest.

Search the game under "games" at the top of the Pinside page. Click on the game and scroll down under pricing estimate on the right side. Click on achieved ads for the game. Some put in sales pride, but most don't. Look at condition and whether modifications were added to each game.

No idea on condition, but basically
NASCAR / $2000
Sopranos / $3000
Lord of the Rings / $4600

I agree -- from a buyer owning s shop I would expect the lower end pricing as the offer, with s discount for buying all 3. 2k, 3k, 4.5k plus 250 off the lot.. for average condition, no pf wear working machines that he will shop out.

Do you have pictures of the games. If so take a few shots of each cab, pf, boards and list here.

This is where you will have the best luck without getting ripped off
