It feels like video games adopted the "3 lives" thing and then Pinball switched to it in the 80s. Just a theory.
The biggest problems with 5 on a DMD game is having to drain so many and wait on ball saves when you're trying to cancel out a game. One of the nicest things I've seen on a modern game is being able to hold down the start button to end the game. I'd consider 5 ball on JJP Pirates or TNA
