Mine are all on 3 but some of my family want me to switch whirlwind and sorcerer to 5 because their games are too short on them. 4 might be an ok compromise but I'm happy with 3. My modern games are set to give free balls instead of replays so more than 3 balls default on those would just give too many balls.
