    May 24th, 2014.

We're going to do this every year, but this will be the big one, likely never to be repeated at this scale.

    Featuring:

    4 craft brews on tap.
    Live entertainment starting at 3:00pm.
Pro barbeque featuring pulled pork, chicken and ribs.
    On site camping available
Negotiated room rates at hotel in town.
    Shuttle service back to hotels
    Novice and expert pinball tournaments.
    Flyer has more details.

RSVP as soon as you can so we can start getting a count for how much food/rooms/camping space we'll need.

Nice flyer! Looking forward to it!

Hey, I just looked at your collection to see if you made any changes, Viper Night Drivin' ! Cool, never played that one!

Where did you find it? Those rarely come up for sale.

Tommy (Awesome pinsider I got the Baywatch from) picked it up for me near his home. He's bringing it to PATZ where I'm picking it up from him. I've only played it once myself, but really enjoyed it.

Chris and I would love to come up for this. Is this where we RSVP? If so count us in!

Will love to have you guys. And yes, this thread will be as good a place as any.

I'll have more info about hotel rates for anyone interested later in the week.

    #7 10 years ago

Count me and my wife in. We don't need a place to stay, her grandparents live in Wolverine.

    Hotel information:

We have a block of 15 rooms reserved at the Days Inn, Grayling MI.

    1-989-344-0204

Normally $90+tax, we have a rate of $70, tax included for Saturday night, (24th of May).

The block and special rate will expire May 1st.

When booking, tell them it is for the 'Moore Party' to get the special rate.

Rooms are two queen beds. And there will be a 'tip service' shuttle going back to the hotel a couple times during the night.

We're coming up on the deadline for hotel rooms if you're planing on coming and staying in town.

    Just an informational bump.

New walk through video for Spring 2014.

Not HD, but will give you an idea on what's to be found....

    #12 9 years ago

    More info:

    The menu is decided:

    Pulled Pork from Boston Butt
Baby Back ribs in 2 styles (and maybe a Chocolate Chipotle).
    Grilled chickens over hickory.
    Corn on the cob boil.
Cheesy potatoes (one spicy, one not).
    Salads of some sorts.

    What to bring:

This is not a pot-luck, and you don't have to bring anything - but if you make a food item that you think other people would like to try, feel free to bring it. Deserts would be nice, as we're not planning any on the standard menu.
    A camp chair.
A great attitude, and willingness to participate in the fun!

If you are planning on setting a tent in the back yard, let me know ahead of time so I can plan how much room to provide. Also, if you are planning to use the shuttle back to the hotel, let me know so that I can make a plan.

    We built the stage today...

4 Boston butts, 20 racks of ribs, 4 chickens.

Added another beer to the tap list: Sam Adams Boston Lager. (5 total on tap)

Rumors of some newer STERN games being available (AC/DC, Star Trek).

It's all adding up to being a somewhat outrageous time in N. Michigan. Still 4 days left to reserve a room at the discounted rate.

    #14 9 years ago

Jello shot skill crane? Sounds like a great time to me!

    #15 9 years ago

It has been confirmed by Josh and Chris from Tri-City Pinball that they will be bringing an AC/DC Pro and Star Trek Pro for everyone to enjoy during the party.

My thanks to them for the kind gesture of bringing some newer games up north for people to enjoy!

This is the generic update I sent to everyone on other social media outlets.

    One week away! Final update.

    Location:
PM for address. For the people who have already confirmed, I'll send it to you via PM
(7.5 miles out of town on M72E)

A GPS Will get you into the neighborhood, but it won't have my house location correctly represented. A mailbox with the house number on it is across the street from my driveway. Parking will be tight, so do your best to park tightly together in the front yard.

    What to bring:
Other than a willingness to have a lot of fun, the only thing you need to bring for sure is a chair, as we are making no plans to seat anyone. If you are so inclined, you may bring a snack or something to share, but don't feel obligated to do so. There will probably be some snack food to munch on prior to dinner, but you more than likely will want to eat a lunch before heading over, as the main meal wont be served until 5:00pm. Lots of room in the back for tent "camping". Just pick a spot and setup when you get here.

The rides back toward town will be limited to 2 times a night. Around 9:00PM, and midnight. The important thing is, we want everyone to have a good time, but we also want to make sure nobody drives when they shouldn't. If you need a ride at any time, let us know.

If you want a ride to the party from the hotel before the party starts, we can arrange that to happen around noon. Let me know via message here and I'll make it happen.

    Events:
    Officially opens at 12:00
    Sign up for tournaments
(Beginner pinball, advanced pinball and Daytona USA driving tournaments - trophies for winners)
Music with Kathy and Theresa starts at 3:00.
    Dinner served at 5:00
    Beginner pinball tournament final 6:00
    Advanced tournament semi-final 6:30
    Advanced tournament final 7:00
    Jell-O shot skill crane 9:00
    End: ???

Sunday morning we will be serving breakfast before we all depart. It'll be served at 9:30AM, and consist of scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagels, fruit and juice. (Lots of coffee, too). Feel free to stop back by if you're staying off site. The arcade will be available to anyone who didn't have enough on Saturday, too.

Matt from Lake Ann Brewing has made the beer menu available.

A wheat lemon shandy style beer with a bit of a spice note will be served in the bar, along with an all Apollo hopped IPA for the hop heads. There will be an amber ESB available in the garage, along with the commercial Sam Addams Boston Lager.
Soda and water will also be provided.

    Arcade etiquette:
Generally speaking, no drinks on the games. There are a couple of machines in the basement that are tables, and drinks can be placed there, and there are lots of other places to set a cup around the arcade.
Play multiplayer games! Arcades are social places, and games are meant to be played with multiple people. It's fun, and you can learn things and meet interesting people by playing with others!
Name badges will be available in the garage. Please fill one out and wear one so people know who you are.
Arcades are made for kids! Ours will be open to children under 18 until 9:00.

If you have any other questions, let me know. It's going to be a fun time for sure! Candy and I are looking forward to having you.

Special note for you pros: The keys will be in all of the machines. I'm cool with you guys taking it into your own hands to help someone will a stuck ball, adding credits, or some other condition like that. I'll appreciate the help, as I'll be busy I'm sure.

    Thanks!

I believe I've sent an address (either here or on FB) to everyone who sent a request.

If you haven't received a PM with the address in it, just let me know.

As of now, weather will be perfect (70 degrees, zero chance of rain, low of 50 at night) - but of course, this is Michigan. Who knows?

We figure about 100 people showing up, looks like 5 or 6 tents in the back yard, same number of rooms booked in town, a few others staying in the house. Probably 25-30 hardcore arcade/pinball types, many other people who are friends/family and are curious, want some beer, want to eat some BBQ, watch the entertainment, etc.

    Good times, good times.

Very nice walkthrough! Assuming that's not a walkout basement ... some of those games (Daytona??) must have been a lot of fun getting down there! Hope it's a great time Saturday ...

    #24 9 years ago

    Almost time for fun!

    #25 9 years ago

Just got back from Todd's party, it was a blast! Me & my entire family went, & we could not of had a better time! The food & beer (only 2 for me) were unbelievable! Todd has a great collection of pins & arcades that we all enjoyed playing.
    Thanks again Todd! Great party!

    #26 9 years ago

Todd sure knows how to throw a party. Glad you and the family had a great time Zampinator. I had to make a last minute work related trip to Indiana or I would have been there as well.

    #27 9 years ago

We had such a great time. Food was awesome! Thanks Todd

    #28 9 years ago

    Good times, indeed. Thanks everyone!

We had somewhere around 90 people on Saturday at dinner time. The Daytona USA went down just a few moments into the first hour, so that was a bummer, but everything else worked pretty well through the party. The weather couldn't have been any better.

It was great to meet some new Michigan collectors and to spend a couple of hours getting to know each other.
There were enough pinguys there that I didn't have to spend much time working on stuff in the arcade - they handled it all for me. Thank you for that!

I don't know how to top this next year, or if I'll even try.

Not many pictures down in the arcade, but hopefully someone else will have some....

Great time indeed. I'm still recovering, 5 craft beers on tap and I probably had at least a gallon of each.

I have a few pics I'll post later, I need to get ready for a family bbq I'm having in a few hours.

    Thanks again Todd!
