I pre-ordered a few of these from Walmart, but I can't find the riser for sale anywhere (thats not part of a bundle like FYE now seems to have). Anyone else have luck?

Quoted from RonSS:

Thank you for that explanation. I knew voice latency was a poor comparison but figured someone would understand my question - even though I couldn't express it well.
Yeah, reaction time vs button/action as 2 different values. Got it now.
Thanks again.

Cool and courteous reply

Anyone get their "Your item has shipped" email from Walmart yet?

#675 3 years ago

I bought three cabs and love them. I'm 47 years old, takes me back... It's a good "quick fix". For the money it's pretty darn fun.

I wish they'd come out with 'Lady Bug', 'Astro Blaster', and 'Black Widow'

Got an email today that my Galaga pre-order is delayed... until ?

#693 3 years ago

At first I thought the Defender controls we're a little spread out but I got used to it. Out of three different cabinets Defender has become my 'go to' game.

Quoted from dtown:

Played the Atari cab a bunch this morning. Still fun and these are always games you can come back to because you can’t really beat them.
I’d like to see a Dragon’s Lair Trilogy and a Stern Berzerk/Frenzy combo.
Also, I’d like to see someone come up with an easy swap for a real spinner.

Someone did this... I have not tried it

#735 3 years ago

Heads up... Walmart in MA and NH had Galaga all over the place early this morning. I cancelled my pre-order and grabbed one.

#736 3 years ago

Note Walmart's online stock numbers were (are) not accurate. One location online stated '1', but there were really 5 in stock. Just start driving

Quoted from MJW:

First impression fire button is not as responsive as original. There is one on amazon that is supposed to be same as original. I will give it a try.

Please let us know how this works out and post the amazon link. Thanks!

I'm really enjoying these cabinets. My pinballs have been neglected this week. Its like the early 1980s is repeating itself.

For now...

I haven't played Quantum since it was first released. I forgot how fun that game is...

.... Can't stop playing Quantum....

Quoted from Chosen_S:

Ok, you got me there
You’re in time,
And if you do light up marquee, I’ll be interested in the expense for sure.
How’s the trackball? Does it feel correct like a happ?

The trackball on these cabinets are fine. I have two of them with trackballs. They play great.

Its a $299 cabinet... and its light weight too. It is what it is... I think they are a blast.

Pac-Man in the house

Need one with:

Mad Planets
Astro Blaster
Black Widow
Lady Bug
Satan's Hollow
Espial
...and of coarse... Jump Bug!

#885 3 years ago
Quoted from Jason43:

Mad planets would suck with the God awful spinner they use

It is what it is for the price... Just upgrade it if desired. There are YouTube videos explaining how.

Can't compare these things to the original cabs... They are good for a retro game fix, or if more hardcore you can upgrade them. People seem to be doing some cool things with the games if or aren't't happy with the stock set up

Quoted from perryd:

I hate this, some idiot on Ebay trying to pass this off as an Original game. He could have least tried to lower the pricing or remove box from background as he deceives the potential buyer.

Bahahahahaha... Box in the background

Thanks for posting!

Here's how to add the USB port that will let you hook up a keyboard and adjust sensitivity:

He specifically mentions the trackball in the write up, but same should apply to the spinner. Will be interesting to see how this works out.

As a person who grew up in the early 1980s (9 - 14 years old) these are great. I don't care about the street fighter cab and barely rampage... Don't care about Mortal Combat... But I love Defender, Quantum, Missle Command, Pac Man, and especially Lunar Lander. For people that have a house full of pins but need a quick late seventies/early eighties video game fix they are great. I just want more 'Mad Planets' or 'Lady Bug' or 'Astro Blaster'. I just want to set up and go... Spending other time making my Alien Poker pin spinner lubed and spinning the best it can.

What one is it? I’m confused
But then again, I’ve owned a zizzle in the past, so clearly I’m no expert on what I like.

Regarding the upcoming cabinets, I wish they would put Burger Time within a cabinet with additional late 70s/early 80s games rather than mid to late 1980s

I know you guys like stupid stuff, so how about a Space Invaders Nightlight that projects up on the ceiling?

Quoted from modfather:

Where can I buy these you speak of ?

Sounds great... I'd buy them as well. Where? If they have original Black Widow game I'd like one of those as well. I used to play the heck out of that one on location back in the early 1980s... as well as an original Quantum that I used to play on location as well.

Where do you buy these? If its not a big treasure hunt over several years / decades I'm interested. If it is, then arcade1up is fine with me for my fix. I'm not paying $300 for hopefully working Quantum boards and then still have to get the rest of the cabinet / monitor to build the darn thing.
