Quoted from pinbum:Could Stern make a King Kong remake?
this would only enhance the value of the 9 KK. i say go for it stern!
Quoted from Dayhuff:The thing of it is I just don't NEED to sell it
Jake: [fakes accent] How much for the little girl? How much for the women?
Father: What?
Jake: Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters... sell them to me. Sell me your children!
Well Kaneda talked about the $10K Tron so I will bet this comes up next. I told him he will talk about older games, it just take the extreme to get it to happen.
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:For $50k I'll make you one.
Sorry Wolfster. I can't do pre-orders anymore
Quoted from fattrain:Sorry Wolfster. I can't do pre-orders anymore
Now THAT is funny.
Closest I've got is the Cobra Condor toy and I think the dog chewed it up a little, or maybe that was me. Must have been tired of paint chips that day.
Best of luck in your hunt, did you find Going Nuts the rare Gottlieb game. I think that was the name.
Quoted from doughslingers:Best of luck in your hunt, did you find Going Nuts the rare Gottlieb game. I think that was the name.
I was actually really close to snagging one but then at the last minute the owner decided to keep it but I am also looking for one of those as well...
Anyone have a Goin' Nuts to sell me? Or maybe a Thunderball as well?
"Turn those stupid games you never play into cash today! Cash4Pins"
Quoted from The_Gorilla:name it "The Fat Gorilla Train"
Don't be so hard on yourself big guy...
I always thought of you as pleasantly plump or Charmin squeezably soft, personally.
Free bump for the Train either way...
Quoted from Wickerman2:How about a gameplay video so everyone can tell themselves it doesn't look THAT fun?
Its definitely not anything special in the gameplay department but has a great theme and is one of the rarest pins so you are very special if you happen to own one and part of a very elite club
Quoted from PaulCoff:I could have sworn Gary Stern mentioned something about this game at Pinball Expo 2015 on Sat night, but I had a few shots of Malort in me and not able to understand.
It was on Fri that Gary Stern mentions King Kong... Check 41:40's

What serial # is this with those huge ass flippers?
Collectors collect, that's what they do, they don't let go of rare items and KK is super duper rare.
Even at $25,000 it will be hard to get one of the 9 proud owners to part with one and leave the club.
Quoted from bigd1979:if you happen to own one and part of a very elite club
Looks cool for sure. For $25K plus I'll join a club that has more amenities...
Quoted from Msch:You should auction it for charity. That makes worth every penny. But you won't.

I like that my initials are coupled with a rare game. I don't like that they are also associated with a low life stealing POS.

Interesting that the three pictured on IPDB have normal sized flippers with no center post, and the VUK to the left habitrail has been replaced with a ramp.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:King Kong looks an awful like my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I started repainting today the second I saw this. Give me a month for Turtles RE-Make.

I love pinball and I have a soft spot for DE (have 6 of them and want a hook) but damn, TNMT looks like they called that one in.
Quoted from Swainer80:) but damn, TNMT looks like they called that one in.
They did phone it in on Turtles, that's why I'm getting rid of it.Painting it into a Kong now.
Quoted from Wickerman2:How about a gameplay video so everyone can tell themselves it doesn't look THAT fun?
Ive played it. It's not that fun.
Quoted from pinbum:Could Stern make a King Kong remake?
Sure, and finish the code. They can call it King Kong Kontinued......oh wait.

FROM THE AD: ***All three national sports teams of Chicago (as of 1992) are represented on the play-field; Chicago Bulls, Bears, and Cubs.***
No White Sox in 1992???

Interesting "side notes".....reminds me of another game.....
Quoted from Dayhuff:The thing of it is I just don't NEED to sell it, I'm enjoying it too much...its not always about the money. Would I pay $25K for it ? Heck no is the short answer. I bought the game back in 2007 from another huge collector that wanted the money more then the game. Him and I "negotiated" for YEARS about me buying it. His price was law and basically there was no negotiating so when the time came up for me it was do or die since I knew I'd never have the chance to own another one and I bit the bullet and paid more for it at that time then any other game I had owned up to that point. However there was no price guide to go by since there not bought and sold everyday....I had to reach deep down and I mean DEEP down to realize I wanted it that bad for what it was, a KK. The thought of ever reselling it for more money never crossed my mind when I plunked down the cash. I bought it because its a cool theme and I've always been a KK fan from the 1976 movie, plus it being #009 and a prototype was just icing on the cake.
Dang. Sort of expected to see a machine of such pedigree traveling in an air conditioned trailer lined with crushed red velvet instead of hacking around in a ratty old blanket and in a rusty old pickup, no less
Trying to remember why King Kong didn't go into full production. Was it that Data East couldn't get/lost the license?!?

when's titan going to get their s*%t together and put out the silicon rubbers for KK?
Quoted from vicjw66:Ive played it. It's not that fun.
I agree...having spent equal time on KK and Kingpin, with both being equally rare, Kingpin is a much better game and a better choice for a remake
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Sounds like you need to double your offer to 50k to make it happen.
Naw, but I would pay 50k for a Kingpin though
Quoted from Friengineer:Are all 9 games accounted for or are there a few lost in the wild?
Dayhuff has #9, obviously. Who owns the others? Does Mike Pacak have one?
Quoted from Dayhuff:Thanks for thinking of me but $25K is not even in the ball park of what I've been offered for the game....but I'm still not selling.
