Try pinside users adenaK, Dayhuff, or SpecialtyRim. Hope you can work out a deal with one of them, I'll send you my paypal if you do!

#5 3 years ago

Seems like a good way to find one. At first glance of the title, I thought Kaneda was back :p

#6 3 years ago

He knows I'm looking for one. He's more than welcome to offer up his if he's bored

Apparently you are wrong, it only takes one buyer and we seem to have one right here. It might not be worth it to me or you but that doesn't change the actual worth on the market.

Cool game OP, hope to just get a chance to play one some day!!!

Agreed! So it should be easy to find one for this price then...

#10 3 years ago

Thanks for thinking of me but $25K is not even in the ball park of what I've been offered for the game....but I'm still not selling.

For that price they should be remaking it. KkRR?

#12 3 years ago

A brandnew one for around 8k sounds good to me.

#13 3 years ago

Wow John! How much have you been offered? I wish I was closer just so I could come see one in person. I love the look of KK.

#14 3 years ago

I'm not obliged to say how much, that's between me and the person that has offered it. Its a standing offer and I'm flattered but I just cant bring myself to do it......

I didn't even know this game existed until just now. Cool.

#18 3 years ago

I still haven't seen any game video of this pin....

I could make you a knock off based on my ID. $12,500. I would even name it "The Fat Gorilla Train" so you would feel like it is personalized.

Let me know

Some one post some gameplay!

#21 3 years ago

A wooden box with wires & lights would be gone in a heartbeat for $25,000

#22 3 years ago

I'd like to hear the story of how you got yours,John

#23 3 years ago

Played this KK many times, and it's a fun game. John's (and his lovely wife SuAnn's) hospitality is first class.

I'm confused as to why there is a Dr. Who topper on Pinball Magic? lol

Stern added the following to their Facebook page a few back:

Ask yourself, if you didn't already own one, "would I be willing to pay $25,000 for one"? If the answer is an emphatic "no" - then sell it.

#30 3 years ago

aint no Data East pin or any other worth that kind of cash

#31 3 years ago

Apparently, if you just give it a couple of years, a NIB Tron LE will be worth that.

#32 3 years ago

Their is a King Kong at my Mother-in-laws place. Strongly suggest you stand clear and avoid her at all costs though. I have scars to show you my rationale.

Hey, a pic of the third person in line that I would never vote for.

#36 3 years ago

Lets see what i could purchase with $25,000 ? A very nice used Diesel 4x4 pickup truck, a very nice used 25ft Contender, Whitewater,See Vee offshore boat with twin Yamaha outboards or a Data East pinball machine.

The thing of it is I just don't NEED to sell it, I'm enjoying it too much...its not always about the money. Would I pay $25K for it ? Heck no is the short answer. I bought the game back in 2007 from another huge collector that wanted the money more then the game. Him and I "negotiated" for YEARS about me buying it. His price was law and basically there was no negotiating so when the time came up for me it was do or die since I knew I'd never have the chance to own another one and I bit the bullet and paid more for it at that time then any other game I had owned up to that point. However there was no price guide to go by since there not bought and sold everyday....I had to reach deep down and I mean DEEP down to realize I wanted it that bad for what it was, a KK. The thought of ever reselling it for more money never crossed my mind when I plunked down the cash. I bought it because its a cool theme and I've always been a KK fan from the 1976 movie, plus it being #009 and a prototype was just icing on the cake.

That Dr. Who topper is part of a much larger topper collection that I've amassed over the years. I've got 35 toppers for games I'll never have in my collection. Years ago at the shows they were everywhere and cheap, I mean like less then $30-$40 cheap for most of them. I remember thinking that any topper over $50 was way to much. It was just something more pinball to collect.

Capcom king pin double kk in actual cost and actual sales prices

#42 3 years ago

Dang: I'm no superfan of King Kong... I mean I appreciate it and all, but it's not something that grabs at me per se...

...but that art of him climbing THE SEARS TOWER with the Chicago River beneath is too frakking cool dammit! Now I just discovered something else to add to the "lottery fantasy list"....!

#43 3 years ago

I can get you one of this...

Could Stern make a King Kong remake?

That's pretty cool, the last one built.
I did a search & came across this old thread. It doesn't say the SN, but it talks about the other 8 not having the full sound roms.

Im curious why you want a KK so bad? game play? rarity? all the above?

You can see video of gameplay on youtube. It looks fun but not that fun.. IMO

Wouldnt you just crap your pants like over and over if you bought one for 25k and the next year stern remade them? they did whoa nellie which is an older one..
