Say your house is paid off and likewise your truck and child support. And the kid is well on her way to making her own fortune. Social security and your part time job are covering all your bills with some leftover.

That IRA account you have been so diligently socking money away in can soon be raided with no penalty. What to buy with the money?

#2 6 years ago

Darn. I clicked too fast and couldn't finish the poll.

Last available option was - Take all the pinsiders you know to a bar and say "drinks are on me!"

#3 6 years ago

Get the liver bro, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

#4 6 years ago

I think my pants just got tight when I read the title... : )~

Well, theoretically, if you earned 10% in the market, you could spend around 20k a year on pins and not touch your principle.

I would definitely travel a lot as well.

Save up to $214,000 and then really explore your options.

Fortunately I went to a school where the principal didn't touch me!

#8 6 years ago

To avoid higher taxes, I don't think you want to withdraw all the money from the IRA in the same year.

Instead of another Rotodave adventure start an O-din travel adventure in Australia

#10 6 years ago

My first instinct was a home in Costa Rica. But I guess your Cambodia option would be nice too.

That is so wrong

And can I ask why Cambodia? Seems like an interesting place out of all the places.

#13 6 years ago

Buy the games. Open a bar, free drinks to pinsiders, use the money from other patrons to find your hellcat and trip. Have a charity party twice a year. The liver could wait.

I hear the people are one there, and they get things done.

Because Jello Biafra said so!

Invest it with Heighway Pinball

#17 6 years ago

Cash out. Put it all on black, red or double 00.

Do you plan to live off SS and a part time job until you die? What about future medical expenses?

Quoted from o-din:

That IRA account you have been so diligently socking money away in can soon be raided with no penalty.

So 100% of those funds are in a Roth?

Quoted from Astropin:

I saved $10 by not getting a flu shot.

Buy a life. NY and Hellcat=hell on earth..........

I am also considering giving Ben Heck the money so he can get that bible game under way.

#22 6 years ago

Buy all of the Supreme pinball machines being made by Stern.

#23 6 years ago

Or maybe Crazy Levi can find you a 1 room studio basement level apartment in NYC, lol

#24 6 years ago
Quoted from BudManPinFan:

Buy all of the Premier pinball machines being made by Stern.

Or buy all the Premier games made by Gottlieb and rent a cargo ship, scuttle it off the shores of N. Carolina.

Fortunately I went to a school where the principal didn't touch me!

Must have been very different from my catholic school upbringing then.

Definitely have to move to NY and get a hellcat. There's really not any other option.

Does that offer include the liver? o-din doesn't seem afraid of "project" machines, so maybe a "project" liver would entice him.

Funny you should ask this question. We just paid off the house this morning, free and clear.

Invest in real estate.
Or, meet a bunch of OC pinsiders at captains auction next Sat and treat us to pins.
Or, call Evan and buy me a GOTG pro.
Or, start a pinball company and build machines you like. Remakes of EM's.
Screw it, hookers and blow.

#45 6 years ago

for starters...... 10,000 in hookers and 2,000 in cocaine. Then take the family to Disney!

#46 6 years ago

Rip out your garage, have a nicer one, and a lot larger built.. Then fill it with some beautiful EM pins.

OR

Renovate your house by raising it up 1 complete floor. Have the ground floor become open floor plan for an arcade. Should get all of your games plus new ones into the new space of the First floor.

barcade!!!! beer and pinball!!!

Go on a Charlie Sheen roll was going to be one of the poll options before I accidentally hit send on my computer.

So you have $212,000? I would take $12,000. and do what gives the most satisfaction. trip, pinball etc.

The remaining $200,000 I would save and invest wisely.
