    Quoted from wolverinetuner:

Another great PATZ! I went Fri and Sat and may have enjoyed this year most of all. Always good to see some folks again and meet others. I especially enjoyed playing Gamatron. Thanks to the owner who brought it!
Thanks to all who put in the work to make another memorable show!

Glad you enjoyed it! We took it to clepin last fall and they really enjoyed it there also!

    Quoted from vdojaq:

I am sure the list will be forthcoming. I can tell you, 90% of the machines were MAJOR projects. I believe the best deal was a couple of Williams Jokers that went for $250 ea? A South Park that went for $1600? It powered up , but that was it. Garbled display, broken plastics , toilet needed replacing( bad tank repair) and of course the Kenny hole had wear, but still, that was a good deal too. An ugly SEGA Frankenstein with the whole display and Frankenstein assemblies missing went for $600. There was a Gottlieb Genesis that looked like it had been dipped in Flint MI water and sanded dry that went for $25?

South Park also had the driver board missing, undisclosed.. my friend bought it.

    Quoted from vdojaq:

That $100 Eight Ball Deluxe looked like a picked over Thanksgiving turkey carcass.

Was hoping you were bringing genesis translite to auction

    Quoted from vdojaq:

That translite is worth more than that whole Genesis in the auction!

    Your not wrong!

We are taking scorpion & ghost busters for the tournament, and tales from the crypt, strange science, lights camera action for free play.

May bring car hop also if it fits in vehicle. Car hop is for sale, $3,200 see my adds, also have star Trek vault pro, mint Lord of the rings, for sale that could be brought Friday if arrangements made to purchase.

    Quoted from Howlingmadd:

This will be my first year attending PATZ, very much looking forward to it.
With the daily admission fee of $20, does this get you a wristband or some other proof of purchase so that you can come and go during the day? Any food or drink vending on site or do people generally bring their own?
    Thanks!

Yes wristband. Nothing on site, just a little concession stand. Vintage glass bottle soda vendor always in the able too, One well brewing has great food in Kalamazoo, and 60 pins there also .

    Quoted from SDX10:

I'm planning on attending PATZ on Friday, is there usually someone selling new standard playfield glass? And what kind of prices would I expect to pay? I'm restoring an em machine now, a Williams Gulfstream. I'm also looking for a backglass (my backglass is completely missing) and right slingshot plastic for this machine as well.

Pinball refinery usually brings glass, but it sells out very quick and no holds . I think it was $30-40 last year

There was a really cool em roulette game. They said it was priced at $30,000. But a very interesting item, I'd never seen anything like it.

    Quoted from cfh:

I talked to Trent about the Tilt games last night (he's staying at the Vfw.) he said it is indeed Troy that makes all those Tilt games happen. and Trent did not have interest in bring more than say one game to a show, pre-Troy. So we should be thanking Troy for all those Tilt games. Stern gives Trent/Troy a 5% discount (over their normal dealer price) if a game comes to a show. that does not seem like much incentive frankly, but Trent said it's enough that they can sell a game after a show discounted as "lightly used", so the 5% does help. Because of this Tilt has "show games" that they can bring.
Trent also said that the games in the Tourney were *not* from Tilt... that sometimes the show asks for a Tourney game, but that does not happen much. I don't know where Alex sources the tourney games, but they are not Tilt games. It kind of sucks that 20 games are in the tourney and not available for regular show-goers. but if you're running a big tourney, i'm not sure how to get around that...

The tournament games are sourced from players collections as well as the Harmons collection well ahead of time. We bring games for the tournament as well as free play. This year we had ghost busters & scorpion for tournament, and strange science, lights camera action, tales from the crypt in free play.

We go to expo, Cincinnati , Clepin, patz. The tournament at PATZ, is ran as well as any of them, the Alex, Phil, Lori, and the rest of the Harmon family do an amazing job with the tournament, ran very well and very smoothly.

The rest of the show itself needs a revamp/revival. We've been coming since 2011. A big difference between Other shows and PATZ, is people always bailing out early Saturday with their games, it says the show goes till 6, people were packing up at 2/3. If I was a paying customer I'd not be happy about that. Other shows have a strict policy of checking games in and out. You got free admission each day for your game, if you leave early they make you pay admission for that day.

Also I feel like I saw a lot of people coming in getting wristbands at the vendor entrance that didn't bring games. A check in list with who brought what games would be great to stop a lot of that.

Food trucks, coffee truck would be amazing, but perhaps the property does not allow that .

Garage sale idea, seems like maybe to hard to keep track of who gets paid etc...but maybe a 3 hour swap meet type thing where anyone can take a table better idea.

Get some more help, the Harmons are busy enough. A few years back Tommy Skinner went ahead and contacted collectors on his own and posted to get a whole row of classic Bally games, it was great.

Social media team is a must.

Make a sign up list , post who is bringing what games for free play. That keeps people responsible, and less likely to just decide not to bring games at the last minute because it's to much work. People will feel more inclined and responsible to bring games if they know others are counting on them.

Partner with other groups, offer big brothers big sisters half off admission, or something. Maybe bring in video games stores to set up and run some gaming tournaments on old consoles , plenty of room, and more people exposed to pinball. Bring in the humane society for puppy adoption, many possibilities.

All the location owners should have games there and be set up, crazy quarters & sparks were the only two this year, there are tons of arcades in Michigan.

Those are some ideas for now, again, I'm not asking the Harmons to do more, they are busy enough. Others hopefully can fill some positions and help

    Quoted from vid1900:

Think of any Antique Mall you have ever been to.
There are 50 vendors, but only one cashier.
You take your goods up to the cashier, he takes your cash, he records what vendor the goods belonged to by the phone number on the label, he gives the cash to that vendor.

I know, but I could just see people having issues, parts losing tags, parts leaving, then people being like where is my playfield that was here etc, but maybe, still a good idea for some sort of parts sale.

    Quoted from wolverinetuner:

That really was a show highlight in 2019. Tommy had mentioned doing a classic Stern row the next year, but Covid hit and it never happened. But a featured row like that each year, maybe with a special prize for “best of” that row, could result in more machines making it to the show. It might also result in more pinheads attending.

They did a classic stern row at Clepin last fall, we took lightning. It was an awesome row, even had viper, split second , etc..
