    Quoted from cartert:

Devils dare was off the whole time we were there yesterday

It has an issue where the solenoid voltage dies. I’m running a booth and will try to take a look at it this morning

    How as the auction?

Stuff went cheap! First time at PATZ, had a great time, thanks to all who make this possible!

    How as the auction?

Wow I wish I had room to take something home.

    #105 12 months ago

Anyone record the prices for the auction?

    #106 12 months ago

I was only able to go to the show for a few hours this morning but thought it was an awesome show. Got quite a few parts to help finish current and future projects. Thanks to all of those that brought games. I enjoyed playing them too. Wish I would have had more time to spend at the show. I hope to bring some things to the next one.

Another great PATZ! I went Fri and Sat and may have enjoyed this year most of all. Always good to see some folks again and meet others. I especially enjoyed playing Gamatron. Thanks to the owner who brought it!

Thanks to all who put in the work to make another memorable show!

I will try to get prices and a full list of the auction results in the next day or two. Trying to unwind after three really great days. They were also three very long days!!!

Big shout out to Troy of Tilt Amusements. I firmly believe it was his line-up of games that made this show so successful.

    Quoted from coolwhs:

I am sure the list will be forthcoming. I can tell you, 90% of the machines were MAJOR projects. I believe the best deal was a couple of Williams Jokers that went for $250 ea? A South Park that went for $1600? It powered up , but that was it. Garbled display, broken plastics , toilet needed replacing( bad tank repair) and of course the Kenny hole had wear, but still, that was a good deal too. An ugly SEGA Frankenstein with the whole display and Frankenstein assemblies missing went for $600. There was a Gottlieb Genesis that looked like it had been dipped in Flint MI water and sanded dry that went for $25?

South Park also had the driver board missing, undisclosed.. my friend bought it.

I bought the working but far from clean Gottlieb Outer Space for $500.
Also bought a few odds and ends, talked to lots of people, played lots of games, and had a great time.
Thanks to all the show workers, vendors, and auction helpers!

Yes, 100% agree, nice having all the new machines there, 3 foo fighters, all the bonds, godfathers, GNR, etc.

Was hoping to try out scooby, maybe I'll find it on route somewhere

    #116 12 months ago

I happened to notice a vehicle with California plates and a vehicle with Alaska plates on Saturday.

    Some serious travelers there.

What a great show. Thanks to all who put it on, and to the vendors and anyone who brought a game. Joker Poker lasted all weekend, only issue was a couple of blown fuses. Marcus, you missed it in the pictures. Also congrats to the machines that won awards, all richly deserved.

I’ve got a flight 2000 and it’s really surprising how well that layout translates to a standard width game. F2k is a great wide body, but gamatron is the best version.

Could be, although the Cali was way over in the pinball side parking. By the fence line.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the show. It was a great time. Thanks to everyone that puts it on and all the people working it.

And thanks to everyone that played & commented on my Rolling Stones. It ended up with 301 plays for the weekend (Fri & Sat).

Whirlwind got over 440 plays in the main tournament and got lots of love and hate. I have some work cut out for me to try to top those high scores. My first time ever bringing games to an event and I really appreciate the care that Alex and Phil put into my game when needed and in making me feel appreciated for bringing games to the event. I forgot to check audits on my cocktails beforehand to get an idea of plays but it made my heart happy to see them getting played so much

    WARNING FOR NEXT YEAR

I hope Alex and Kevin see this post

Do not use the Clarion Hotel that was one of the suggested hotels. We had bed bugs in our room. We caught them on the first night at midnight, they moved us to another room. I asked to speak to a manager but obviously ones that make decisions were not there at that time

So today i call, i had two rooms for 3 nights, I asked that one of my nights for only one room be refunded for having to deal with this, besides us finding out because my son was bit, this is also something that really freaks my wife out. None of our clothing is allowed in the house till she goes through it and washes it somewhere besides our house.

I think one night refunded was very generous of me, however, the hotel believes that 8.80 is fair enough compensation for our hassle of moving rooms in the middle of the night

Troy, contact Clarion corporate and tell them you are reporting them to the health department. You will get some serious action worth a whole lot more than $8.80. However, we had some issues of our own over at the Marriott Courtyard we are dealing with. Not bedbugs, but other crap the hotel had issues with.

    #127 12 months ago

We also stayed at the Clarion as we have for several years now. They have the best reviews of any hotel around there. We checked thoroughly for bugs like always and didn't find any evidence of it in our room, so hopefully we are ok. That being said, I was not impressed by the overall cleanliness of the room. I would definitely say it has declined since we began staying there.

I don't know what reviews you have read, but the reviews on travel advisor said stay away to me. They closed the pool to remove the hot tub and never reopened the pool? That is a major red flag.

I stayed in the Clairion a few years back in 2016 If I recall, and I also had to change rooms because of bed bugs!

    #130 12 months ago

I used the Four Points by Sheraton, saw others at the show that did as well; no issues there. Used the Residence Inn last year, that was fine, too.

I love seeing some of the crap that was sold at the auction is now up for sale on some of the Facebook pages.

My son and I bought a Gtb Countdown at the 1st Saturdayhuff auction. It's been back for freeplay every year since except this year due to space on the trailer (brought 6 others). Got a Silverball Mania in the auction this year. Hopefully, it'll be ready for free play next year.

    Wild Card (reserve not met)

If anyone's curious, this was $1,500 before the auction, $1,200 reserve during the auction, and $1,000 or the seller would take it home after the auction. I paid the grand, love that game.

    #139 12 months ago

I am the happy new owner of that Mr and Mrs Pac Man machine from the auction. Luckily I had most of the missing boards and have tracked down most of the parts. Rebuilding all the boards now. Looking forward to bringing it back to life. Had one that I sold years ago and missed it. Plan on keeping this one.

Definitely! I enjoyed playing it too. Great game! I have a Night Moves and wanted to see what the Caribbean Cruise was like. Nice to see it at the show.

I wish I would have had my friend bid on that Bally Home machine. I do repairs on those and could have revived it it and used it as a test fixture for series I boards. As it stands now I only work on the series II machines.

Who ever bought the Jokerz I have parts! I parted one out a few years ago. Speaker panel, sound board, populated play field.

    #148 11 months ago

That SWE1 shown in the pictures did boot up and play. The light saber was an odd replacement and the video display was completely out, but otherwise seemed to work. It was sold before the auction.

    #149 11 months ago
    Quoted from yancy:

    I paid the grand,

Joke's on me. I've been around plenty long enough to know that if a game is claimed to be 100% working and refurbished by a tech, it would be set up and playing to help its chances in the auction. But I took a chance anyway since I love the title and it never shows up for sale.

Three of five score reels won't roll over to zero to start a game unless you help 'em by hand. At a minimum those three need to be rebuilt, may as well do all five. Game starts with 2 or 3 balls to play instead of the expected 5 for an add-a-ball (I made sure the game is set to 5-ball play). So the ball count unit needs to be serviced. Right flipper is so spongy it won't make the center spinner. May as well rebuild both of those too. I'll probably just end up going through the whole game.

Refurbished by a tech! Hunner' percent!

We all know it's buyer beware at auction, but yeah, I looked right at that note and that is B.S. if you ask me .Anyway, the poor S.O.B. who bought the South Park opened it up and found the driver board missing after being marked complete.
