The TWIPY Final Voting ended last week and I thought I’d give out a few stats from the thousands of submissions received. In fact we had more votes this year than any year in the past. This data shows that the TWIPY voting does a good job of representing a large swath of the pinball community around the world and not just a limited few in the media. We are now starting to work on the Live Show at TPF that will be live streamed on March 25th on the TWIP YouTube Channel.

I guess if a location inspires people to do that, it's a good one.
Quoted from crwjumper:Who won favorite mod?
I don't think the winners are revealed until the awards ceremony held at the Texas Pinball Festival on March 25th, 2023. Which they typically live stream.

Yep, winners will be revealed at the Live Show at Texas Pinball Festival on March 25th 9pm EST / 8pm Central. You can watch the stream on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TWIPThisWeekinPinball
Just my humble suggestions ,but they need to make these award shows more entertaining .1) twipys and the pinball awards should be every 4 years each and staggered so you get more variety in the categories and each would pull from a different field 2)dump the award show music and replace with pinball music and sounds ,enough said 3) need to try to get some high profile pinheads to present awards if possible like Slash,Robertson,Kardashian’s haha etc 4)Have the actual pins there on rollers so you can shuffle them in the background to the set that’s presently up for awards 5) Alcahol and drugs to liven things up haha 6) skits made just for the show as fills .There is so much talent in this group of people and it shows in the viewable material they produce weekly so just try to transfer that energy and stop being so uptight .It’s probably really hard when your categories have the same 3/4 games in them hence the space between shows .I’ll still be watching Lastly it would probably beneficial to have both live during Expo and TPF so the crowd would be built in .
I wish everyone would make nice and Zach and Greg would return to host. I know they have The Pinball Awards now, but when they hosted the TWIPYS, it was run well and looked professional.
Another repeat of last year and I'm tapping out.

Heard that, but I’ll watch the TWIPY’s again this year, like I do every year, from the comfort of my home. Doesn’t matter if it is a bad show or good one. I’ll watch it, and the 90 minutes wasted will be well spent. It’s no fun around the water cooler the next day if TWIPY’s comes up, and (you) the pinball person is unaware. [this is an irrational fear, as it is guaranteed to never come up in conversation.]
It is very easy to remove problems and issues with last year’s effort, and to improve the show in all areas. I expect those changes will be made. With all that being said, I have no burning desire to watch the live awards, live. If I tune in a few hours later I can catch the broadcast and use mute, pause and fast forward buttons to my content. Either way I’ll be ready at the water cooler following the show
It might generate more interest if the categories had betting odds.
And maybe some Vegas Keno girls or Vanna White to flip the changing numbers.
.
Show should give a nib game of the year to someone in attendance. Everyone gets a ticket upon entry. End of show you spin a barrel with the tickets and announce lucky winner to come on down and get their game.
As I imagine it … confetti falls from the ceiling. Imoto has gotten drunk during performance and decides to entertain the audience. Todd is laying down in a BarcaLounger already drinking Mai Tai’s. And the audience is clapping wildly. Now that! would be exciting.
TPF is just a week away. Make sure to get notified for the LIVE TWIPY Show on Saturday night of TPF:

I'd love to hear any feedback you might have after watching the 2022 TWIPY Awards Show; both good and bad.
On the homebrew section, why is it that it is a one and done thing? Every other category seems to have multiple years they can submit (podcast, etc). Custom games constantly evolve, not a complaint but just curious the reason.

We do give the homebrew designers the choice of when they feel their games are done and should be included. Normally, once they determine it is done they don't make many changes to them in future years. We are trying to get them added at their best state. Other categories that are content creators we make sure that they have new content for the year, which often can't happen for homebrews.

I can understand that, was more curious about the reasoning behind it.

I really liked for convention/tournament you showed all 10 nominees. Helps get exposure for them all even if they didn’t get the win.
Very happy that Pincinnati finished JUST outside the top 3! Thanks to everyone that voted!
Quoted from toddtuckey:Imoto and I will try to have fun this year with all of you!
You both did a great job...I was entertained!! Also, Congrats on TWIPY #2 Todd!!!
