Load in starts in 2 days. I am still in denial
WooooooHoooooo!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, playing some great games, drinking a few adult beverages and getting my party on! My only issue is that my daughter has her A&M ring ceremony Friday evening, so I will miss most of Friday. Looks like I'll just have to party double on Saturday.
See y'all there!!
Can't wait to see you guys after 3 years away!! Come say hi, just across from the check-in desk.
I'm bringing lots of new artsy fartsy stuff to show, and most excited about previewing the TPF'23 official 3D show poster... but more importantly, just come hang out! Let's have a beer!
Safe travels, all!

My wife and I are here. Kinda early, but at least we got the Krogers and liquor store taken care of! We are hoping to meet a few pinsiders while we are here. We will be here till monday.
Extremely bummed I will not be there this year…new job and my schedule is weekends…not an option for vacation time to get off for this year…will be there next year for sure.
Rockin TNA on my juke LOL! It’s the party of the year I always look forward to!
Houston show is a good time….different than TPF but if you like to party and hang with good people it’s a great show!

Fun first day! I had to head out early for work. Dropped off Capt. Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy in the Space City Booth, and Pretty Baby in the back corner by Pinball Repair's Booth (nobody puts Baby in a corner.) Pretty Baby is really *really* rough looking, but plays well and is for sale $350 obo...I don't want to bring it home if I don't have to.
Color everywhere!!! ColorDMD, that is.

Do you have a code running at the moment?
Who brought the tales from the crypt? I need to know where you got the flippers or did you make them??
Awesome show! Thanks Keith and Company! I swear it gets better every year. I didn't love it the first year I went, but they have really dialed it in over time. Some highlights for me (I didn't get to spend a lot of time, so I'm sure I missed a lot):
1) New games - I got to play a lot of Bond, Zilla, Mando, Zepp, Toy Story, etc. - Nice selection!
2) Late hours - place was still rocking at 2:30 am! Love it, cause I'm a night owl! Next time I'll get a hotel room for the kids.
3) Nice venue - so much better than the previous hotel!
4) Front staff - super nice to my young son, seems less about the $ and more about the fun than some other shows I've been to.
5) Radio Duran - Perfect little show for my kid, and hard to dislike songs I grew up with.
6) Keith - dude was having a blast, and it helps the atmosphere. Lots of giveaways, etc.
Can't wait for next year!

Yep. After I posted I just went ahead and googled it and that is also what I found. I think they'll go perfect in the acrylic machine. I may try to make my own...
Finally home after a great show! Huuuuuge shout out to the guys that spent 10 minutes saving me an hour of hustle and muscle. You have no idea how much that helped me. Is this a great community or what? See y'all at TPF!

Happy to have been one of them who were able to help you get loaded up. Awesome that you brought 6 games!!
I plan to be at TPF 2023.
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Does anyone have any feedback on bond? Been really quiet lately.
Decent flow and a few good shots. I like the ball popping out of the roof of the car. Someone watched the movies...
Hilarious the disclaimer saying that all clips are demo only awaiting copyright permission. What are they going to do if they don't get it, recall them? Overall I liked the game. I am not a good player and was able to enjoy it.

I played a lot of Bond this weekend. Usually, audio is a big part of my feeling about a game. The show was pretty loud. I didn’t really hear the game, but I enjoyed playing it.
Within my small group that played together, we preferred the Pro. I’m looking forward to another crack at it in a few months. My opinion is overall positive.
I had a GREAT time at the Houston Arcade Expo this past weekend. It was awesome seeing old friends and getting a chance to play all the new games. My liver will be slow to recover, but we partied Thursday after setup 'till about 2:00am. On Friday the crowds rolled in, and it was an excellent 80's dance party with Scott Danesi, Atari Matt and ...can't remember who DJ'd 'till the wee hours on Friday, but I was around long enough to grab some toast from the iHop order that rolled in around 1:30am.
Saturday saw a good crowd - definitely more people than Friday (wonder if the rain had anything to do with that). While it was a bit more crowded, it was still pretty easy to get onto the popular games like Godzilla and Bond. And for the first time since TPF 2016, my wife joined me for the evening of fun. Pinball isn't really 'her thing' but she said "I had a lot more fun than I thought I would". I think it really helped that she enjoyed the Duran Duran cover band - they were really good.
Here's a few pics from the show.

A huge Thank You! to everyone that brought consoles, arcades, pinball machines, stuff to buy, actors!!!
amazing weekend, cant wait to do it all again!
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Thank you toddtuckey for visiting!
Seconded. It was an honor to finally get to meet him; I was lucky enough to have him come to me (actually, my face painting booth).
American Pinball was under-represented, not one of their games in the place.
Was great to see a Mystery Castle
Plenty of Led Zeppelin Rush (Pro) Godzilla (Pro) The Mandalorian (Pro) and James Bond 007 (Pro) both pro and premium versions. Could almost always find one with no waiting except for Godzilla. You can thank Marco for that I guess.
#jjp-toy-story-4-le was busy pretty much constantly but there was only one. I think it was at the Joystix booth.
#csi was fun. That would be a great candidate for updated code some day.
Many video games to play too, both arcade and console. Thanks to everyone who shared their games.
Great party vibe with the bands. They all put great energy into their performances.
It was great to see so many old friends. I missed it the last two years.
I have video walk-thrus of the setup, show opening, and the swap meet here:
http://pinballhelp.com/2022-houston-arcade-expo-walk-thrus-pre-show-show-and-the-swap-meet/
I also have a video of my first impressions of James Bond, which may be a bit controversial (and I reserve the right to change my mind)
I played a ton of James Bond because I've planned to get one to put on location, but I am not so sure after spending as much time with it. I might end up getting Rush instead.
Anyone else happen to catch the flu from the expo? Had a bad cough monday and been dying ever since, worth it though!

Not sure if it was the flu but I was in bed from Sunday afternoon till Wednesday morning sick as hell. Totally worth it!
