I'm traveling, so I can't get a lot this year, but I'm planning on getting $50-$100 worth of fireworks at the superstore today. That'll be enough buy me maybe a couple 200 grams lol.

Quoted from zermeno68:I don’t have to tell you that California is expensive… but I just bought this pack for $175 from a TNT firework booth!!!
I have not bought any since 2019.. have prices gone way up since then? This is getting crazy.

Yes, prices have gone up a fair amount in the last few years. Some places I've talked to have said that the shipping costs from China doubled this year, not to mention the cost increase of the fireworks themselves. Things are getting crazy.
Totally wish we had access to the calibre and variety of US fireworks here in Canada.
Pales by comparison.

I didn't realize so many fireworks were illegal up there. I looked it up online and saw a pic (below) of examples of illegal ones. They don't even allow snaps?!? What in the hell is legal if those aren't? Wow!

Holy moly, sir. I saw packs that were nearly that size at my nearest food lion in NC and they were less than half that. That's crazy.

Yes, fireworks have always been expensive but they are almost humorously so now. I can’t get out of a fireworks store for less than $350 now. I wish I could find some of this sales everyone keeps talking about on here.
Where is the best place to buy this gems online? I’m fine making a giant purchase, but where is the best place to do so?
Quoted from Spitfiren8:A friend of mine just sent me this, he puts on a good show.

Wow, 8"mortars! That's some serious non-consumer stuff there!

I bought snaps locally a few years ago. Dirt cheap, like $1 per box so I bought all that the store had. I gave lots away. These are quite harmless compared to most other legal fireworks.
The 'not bottle rocket' things that launch something into the air that pops, those are probably stronger than an average firecracker. I've let them fire into a can and they shred the can apart pretty good.

Quoted from snowy_owl:Here's my humble little stash. Got some smaller cakes in tennessee before I crossed into North Carolina. Ended up being around 90 dollars in total. Pretty happy with it, though.[quoted image]
That's a good deal here. I took the morning of the 5th off to buy mine for next year at a discount. I have selective memory of what I spent the previous year and think I did the same this year. It looks like less, but I got a few more cakes.
