Greetings to all!

I will start this thread for the upcoming Pin-A-Go-Go event for 2021.

The Flyer says that the show will be at the Dixon May Fair Fairgrounds, 655 S. First St, Dixon CA.
Show is Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 10

Over 100 Classic machines set on free play! Pinball parts for sale!

Friday 2 to 10 PM (Admission $20)
Saturday 10 to 10 PM (Admission $20)
Sunday 10 to 4 PM (Admission $10)
Weekend pass $20
Kids 12 and under $10 (With adult)

Usually people are able to bring their machines to the show and usually a swap meet. I am not the organizer of the event, so here's hoping that will happen again.

Thanks for starting Thread Bump!
I thought about starting a Thread but I'm socal and figured I wasn't the best person to do that.
As I stated this morning it's 52 days till showtime!
I'm off that week and I haven't been to a show in 2 1/2 years. So hungry for this.
I have 2 years of swap meet stuff to bring up.
I couldn't make the Flipper room event.

#5 2 years ago

Sounds like fun, missed out on flipper room as well.

Hey everyone. Yes, we are still a go with the a-go-go. Here is the website with more information. We are gearing up and should start to get more information out soon. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Closing out August. Getting closer to the event!

#9 2 years ago

I did not see anyone jumping to add this as an event, so I took the liberty of creating it.

https://pinside.com/pinball/events/pin-a-go-go-pagg-2021

Please feel free to modify this as you see fit.

#10 2 years ago

Thanks for posting. We’ve been meeting to put some final touches on the website and still working through the COVID stuff since this is on State property.

Check out:

https://pin-a-go-go.org/

Still the same format. Anyone can bring machines - details are listed on the website.

I’ll post this same info on a PAGG thread. It was great seeing folks at the flea market last month. Hope to see you all at PAGG.

#11 2 years ago

I posted a separate thread with a poll. The more exposure, the better! Excited for this to finally happen.

So....
This is not the same event/organization as Golden State Pinball show??? In Lodi?

No, it's not. GSPF is a different group of dedicated pin heads.

#14 2 years ago

That would be a negative, two separate events and orgs.

GSPF = May
PAGG = October

Not the same. PAGG started in ‘97 with Don and Ellen Highley, myself and Richard Conger - and it has been in Dixon since. The folks at Golden State took over the duties of PAGG for a number of years and then wanted to relocate to Lodi and expand, which they did several years back. We continued PAGG with Don, Ellen, Matt and David, but moved it to October.

#16 2 years ago

Fantastic! Looking forward to going.
Steve

#17 2 years ago

Heads up @zahner, there are conflicting dates on the website. See the page for game load in and the FAQ page. It looks like the dates for a previous year. It has game load "IN" on the 11th.

FAQ has he the next dates as October 11-13. (2019).

#18 2 years ago

The Flipper Room will be there as a vendor. Also deciding which games to bring.

Quoted from drypaint:

Thanks for the notice on the dates. I’ll have it fixed. More importantly, BRING ALIEN!!!

I posted a high score (ZZZ) and set the egg record. Curious to play again. I’m not an awesome player but I stumbled on how to get it going like a mad dog with the bottom center pop bumper. Big points! Otherwise a really fun game I was never able to play. It would be great, in my mind, if ALIEN made an appearance. Would love to buy one, but - space, spouse, solvency demand otherwise.

The TNA was crippling, but another great choice.

Thanks for hosting the swap meet. It was great.

Look forward to seeing you at PAGG. Maybe you will have some thoughts on how I can thin out my Mondo, et al collection of framed posters!

#20 2 years ago

Ok so, I just started a new thread:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pagg-or-cax-or-both
As an exhibitor at both for years, I am soooo torn...

See other thread.

#21 2 years ago

I'll be there. I'll be the fat semi-old guy wearing the "Pinsiders, introduce yourself" T Shirt or something equally nerdy. I know a few of you, would be great to meet more.

I went a few years ago but don't recall if I saw any area for flipperless stuff? I'd like to bring BK2K, Comet, Play-Boy, and maybe "IT". I'd like to bring Five Star Final but mine is non coin-op so probably doesn't qualify but it sure is purty.

I'd like to bring circus circus as well just not sure anyone would be interested. Except Thatonedude!

#22 2 years ago

I’ll be there. Sounds like fun!

#23 2 years ago

What’s the show poster look like this year? Any available for purchase? I have posters I can trade if they are only for pickup at the show.

#24 2 years ago

I heard they were being handed out at TFR but I left early on my motorcycle. I was staring down the bargain fireball but didn't want to ride back to Modesto and do another round trip with a truck. I saw a few old faces and met some current pinside rock stars.

T SHIRTS! Please? I'd love one with the flyer on it. Hopefully it will happen.

Thanks for the lowdown.

#29 2 years ago

Any Reno pinheads coming down to PaGG that could bring down a pin for me?

#33 2 years ago

Looks like I found a Speakeasy! Still REALLY Looking for an Escape from the Lost World and mebbe a Heavy Metal Meltdown?

Long Shot: A Trident Backglass????

Also, I have set of Williams displays from a Space Shuttle that are all good; I just replaced them with the led ones I got with the machine. No burn in or missing segments or anything. DM me to make an offer.

Cannot wait to rock PAGG. Bring dollar bills; I'm bringing my Star Trip cocktail for the camp for to play some killer Tommy Dollar games. New flipper coils, eos switches, and suchlike, and this bad boy is a faaaast playa.

Where is everybody?

7 days and it's a Full Blown Show!
I'm looking forward to this. Been no pinball shows in Cali since indisc 2020. That's 22 months.
Bringing up some fun from Banning. Great pinsider placing both his Banning games on floor.

#35 2 years ago

Bringing for the show:

Trident with killer Arduino mod
Expressway
Excalibur

Might bring Heat Wave over Excalibur to save room for Speakeasy coming home.

Too bad there's not a list like GSPF (or PAGG used to). Then I'd know how not to replicate. Like, my Space Shuttle plays beauty, but mebbe like three other people be holding a Space Shuttle. I figger Trident, modded or not, Expressway, and Excalibur ain't usually seen out in the wild much. But thgen same same with Heat Wave or Teacher's Pet.

Sigh... Just stoked for a real show.

Who's got stuff for the swap meet besides Jimmy?

#36 2 years ago

Any interest in a semi populated FIRE playfield?
No houses. Get some pics later today.
Thinking swap meet in 1 week. Trying to bring big stuff, stuff thats awkward and expensive to ship.
Addams Family Cloud toppers, NIB with decals. Smoke Version $200/Clear $150.
Spme pinball legs.
6 brand new coin boxes. Wpc to new stern.
Coin doors. Fully populated.
Wpc displays, swap outs for colordmd. Will test all later today.

Is the pf wall hanging quality or in good shape?

Quoted from fireball2:

I just need an owner of a HMM that can do a rubbing of the plastic centerpiece of the topper so I can have one made for mine, as it is missing from mine.

Will pay to have one done, folded and tossed into an envelope and mailed.

It's actually a nice playfield. Fully populated underneath.
If it's a wall hanger it's some work.
Lots of great system 11 parts on it.

Bumping again Ferda Boys...
Wish there was a games list.
I have a space shuttle coin door in excell shape I could bring too.

#43 2 years ago

Packed and folded 2 pins for the floor yesterday in 95 deg hotness.
I'm bringing up a a Midway Chopper solid state helicopter game. You know, Chopper flies in circles in big cabinet. Anyway, I'm locked out.
Was really hoping someone has extra keys to attempt to open. Not keen on drilling it open yet.
So if you see this big machine Thursday or Friday please try and open. It's a big barrel lock double bit.

Ever wish you had a full wire harness set?
Nows a good chance.
logic and high power, full lighting to under playfield, secondary playfield, full ribbon cable set, backbox jumpers.
Came out of a parted Taxi 5 years ago. I finally found this box!
I see only one connector to lighting GI that has been re-molexed. Excellent shape and clean no burns.
I've gotten several, lots of Pm's. Thank you.
Busy day and week. I will see everyone next weekend, and a swap meet.

4 fully tested and working DMD dot matrix displays.
Building pinside ad later.
$25 for one with some wcs94 burn in, still bright, only see it when game is off.
$50 for a Cherry brand display, bright.
$125 for an Alvin G n Co vishay. Super clean and bright. Made in USA. Works on all Bally williams games to.
$125 for another vishay, best of the lot supreme bright and clean.

#47 2 years ago

Change of plans for me. I'm now bringing a GTB Big Hit to sell at PAGG. Nicely tuned up with a NOS clear coated playfield. $1400 and there's a CL ad for it.

Also bringing Bob's Whack That Mole retheme of Bally Night Rider. I've determined that I don't need another machine, but I didn't want this to be broken up. It was featured at The Flipper Room event and has its own Pinside thread. Also out there as a CL ad. $1800

#48 2 years ago

I will also be bringing new and used Medieval Madness playfield parts. Pinball Panic did some trading and these parts were left over from a pf swap. Lots to list so I'll just keep working on the pricing for the show

#49 2 years ago

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the show. T minus 4 days and counting!

#50 2 years ago

Haven't gone to this show in many years, thinking about going this year but I'm wondering if it will be a full house and worth the 4 1/2 hour drive?
