    from alex harmon:
Unfortunately, the 2020 Pinball at the Zoo' show is officially cancelled. We are incredibly sad to announce this and we are sure all of you are just as upset!
In more positive news, we have dates for 2021! Mark your calendars for Sep 2-4, 2021.

If you pre purchased tickets, we ask for you to hold onto those tickets for the 2021 show. This would help the show out a ton as we move forward to 2021. As you could guess, the show has experienced some financial strain. Your ticket will automatically turn into a 2021 ticket if you do not contact me. Keeping your ticket also locks in the current prices (which will go up for 2021). We understand everyone's situation is different, so if you need a refund please contact me (Alex) at [email protected]. Please be patient while we process refunds.

Thanks for your patience as we navigated this extremely hard time. We miss all of you, but most of all stay safe.
    See you in 2021!

Still looking very forward to the 2021 show! Plus that gives me extra time to actually finish this damn Star Gazer scratch build to bring it to the show with me.

    #3 3 years ago

On the bright side, we only have to wait 7 months ( instead of full year like other shows) and it will go quickly by.

Just over 3 months out, any updates on the 2021 show? I realize it is tough to call now , but wondering ...

    #5 3 years ago

I'm going to guess it will be a no-go with texas already cancelling for 2021 as well. just my thoughts

    #6 3 years ago

It may depend on widely available the vaccine is at the time.

Even if there was a show this year attendance would be way down unless a later in year date was possible.

    #9 3 years ago

It will be tough as well if they put it off untill Fall. October could be very busy if pushed til then.

I wouldn't be going in April.

    #11 3 years ago

I doubt it will happen and don't blame them if that's the decision but I would go in April. I figure if its safe enough to go to work its safe enough to pinball.

Here we go again… unfortunately we’ve had to officially postpone the show again for 2021.

Our new dates are April 21-23, 2022. The Kalamazoo County Expo Center has started issuing restrictions again, starting with a mask mandate for all vaccinated and unvaccinated people. With the chance of increasing restrictions as we get closer, we had to make the tough decision to postpone again.

Thank you all for the continued support. It is appreciated a lot. We know this STINKS! We are just as sad and frustrated as all of you.

Anyone who has paid money to the show in any way over the last year and a half, that money will be applied to the 2022 show unless you tell me otherwise. Any other questions, please get ahold me at [email protected].

    Tough decision, but we understand.

Let’s all get ready for a huge show in 2022.

I will have to check in with John Dayhuff when things calm down here in a few days. Or maybe he will post on here. I hope we can still do it!

    Bummer X2.
Concerning the state hopefully we will send a loud and clear message when we get to vote the gov out of office. Get someone in with common sense and likes pinball, the latter being most important(not).

In this case, I know hard to believe it was the venue placing the restrictions on the event - not the governor (This time).

Ouch! These times help me realize how spoiled we are to have this show. I’m gonna miss seeing folks as well as playing the pins, but I certainly understand the further postponement. Hopefully we’re coming to the light at the end of this tunnel.

    #32 2 years ago

The Ann Arbor VFW october 2-3 show is still on. but you *must* be vaccinated to attend (and be able to prove it at the door.) Also we have cut the number of available tickets in half compared to prior shows. Just hoping we can dodge this bullet and we don't have to postpone too. But we really need the finances to pay bills (last year's show barely covered half of our yearly operating expenses.) To do that two years in a row really makes you look at property offers and wonder if you can continue to refuse them, in the name of pinball...

WOW, what a sad attack post.

OK, your medical condition puts you in a position to elect no vaccination. Fine no problems. However we do not need to hear the details.

Clay has VERY compelling reasons why he does not want to be near un-vaccinated people.

Clay: "But we really need the finances to pay bills". This is very true. If you have a problem with that why don't you scrape up $1,000,000 +/- for games. Then chip in another $500,000 +/- to buy property, erect multiple buildings, pay taxes, pay utilities, pay for building shit that breaks, etc....

Then you can invite several hundred unvaccinated people over to your private property

So your "cry broke" comment is ignorant insulting bullshit.

For the 20th time, The VFW IS PRIVATE PROPERTY. Not a public venue.

Clay has every right to *dictate* admittance criteria for any reasons he chooses, just as everyone have the right to refuse entry to their private home.

Uff sucks to hear man, looks like you'll have to ride the pine another year.
Can't figure out what the rest of your post has to do with anything.
