Quoted from jeffc:Am I right that the reservations will be available at http://vfwpinball.com/ and that would be sometime today?
This will be my first time attending!
Correct.
Note that for 2020, the show is being held only on two days instead of three. With admission limits in place and hence, fewer admission slots available, it is expected to sell out earlier than in prior years.
Quoted from Jjsmooth:It was smashed on the ground, not thrown at G.
Well, thrown BY G.
May 6, 2017 @ 10:40 pm; a day that will live in infamy....
1. Winner announced.
2. Winner runs to claim his prize.
3. Tournament director/Announcer and all-around good-guy throws/smashes prize to the ground where it breaks like a pretzel (this was prior to the VFW purchasing its welding equipment for trophy making and mini-bike work).
4. Winner and many participants help pick up the pieces while Tournament director goes into diatribe of profanity and expletives about the winner that we dare not publish on this family website.
Quoted from KingBW:Would be a good place to propose if you are both into pinball.
With Clay presiding? LOL, total buzzkill.
Quoted from bob_e:How about some toilet paper with the VFW logo on it ?
No need as the facility is Bidet equipped.
Quoted from Joe_Blasi:$70 IFPA fee per event / player to cover that.
It's just seventy dollars.....
Quoted from Puffdanny:You can only buy tickets with a prepaid reservation so if you only have 1 reservation you can't buy a second ticket.
Unless you buy it from someone else that won't attend this year who is selling their reservation(s).
Quoted from pinfarmer:Imagine going to a public gathering in Michigan of all places now...
I’ve been doing so since Mid June in Michigan of all places. A month earlier in Ohio and Indiana.
I can’t imagine doing so in Ontario though. Maybe BC.
Quoted from MrBally:Tilt Amusements has graciously lent a Avengers LE to the show for this weekend.
I was given bad information and can now confirm it is a Pro. I am not aware of the differences. I have no idea what everyone means by “AIQ” either.
The mini shows are certainly easier for us minions to work while the big cheese lights his Davidoff cigars and Austin Torpedoes with hundred dollar bills. To be fair, he also uses Flipper Coil wrappers and old score cards that say "5 balls per game".
The big shows, with all games on, and the smell of burning coils on Black House or Haunted Hole are a more fun atmosphere though.
Quoted from BMHouze:Get that farmer across the road to grow weed and you won't be able to get rid of us.
Go East one or two properties for your needs....
Quoted from pinwiztom:I did not realize that Michigan was such a hotbed for revolutionaries.
I am betting TheLAW was running undercover for the FBI
to help bring down the "plot".
Everyone stay safe there.
Google Norm Olson/ Michigan Militia for details. They have been in the news before.
Quoted from Hench4Life:I'm also more than happy to volunteer if any additional hands are ever needed..

Quoted from pinwiztom:the big problem is we don't know how things are going to go with the virus this summer. that will dictate a lot.
well Michigan is not off to a great start with its current surge.
Looking on the bright side, maybe everyone will have been infected (& survived) by end of summer.
Trust the science. Vaccinations taking place, social distancing and masks yet Michigan's case rate is the highest. Either false positives or something that rhymes with "molitix".
Quoted from greenhoody:It's just lame to go to a show you have to have faith in mega corporations that have lied about their products before. Health workers can't be forced into taking because its still technically experimental. So you have to take a technically and legally experimental drug to play pinball. Awesome...
So, can we count you in?
