Quoted from phil-lee:EM is now a very desirable format, people have learned if they go through them correctly they are very reliable machines. Even though I own SS and understand the Engineering I prefer the Utility of EM.
Nine times out of ten I head for the EM over the SS. I really enjoy the early SS but it is always an event firing one up versus hitting go on an EM.
Always envisioned EM prices getting "Respectable" but now that it has happened not too happy.
I go back and forth. I’m working on a SS game, and I get sick of monkeying with connectors, old boards, trying to figure out why a game won’t boot etc.
So I dive into an em. It’s a breath of fresh air! No boards! I can fix this game with nothing but a switch adjuster and a file. Then I run into some Bally that drives me insane, or a gottlieb AX relay that almost sends me to an asylum.
You can’t win! I’m taking up stamp collecting.
