So what are the Verlander predictions for tonight?

My guess is 4 innings and done. More of the same we have already seen. Don’t know what it is about the postseason but it’s a shell of what he does in the regular season. Not gonna win a WS if he does that.

I had to take some clients to the lightning game, was sweating bullets in the hockey rink. Got to start watching the 7th inning on the drive home. Unbelievable how good Pena is, and he and Bregman are absolute hoovers in the field. Love this team

Mattress Mack is well known…big Astros fan of course but essentially he does run a furniture store. He is known for giving back to the community for years….gives away furniture to help out many people and supports lots of other things as well. He also came to Philly with a truckload of mattress he gave to veterans and first responders.

Plenty of videos out there but he got into it with a couple Phillies fans…pretty funny if you watch it. Not sure what they said but it must have been pretty bad as I don’t think we have ever heard Mattress Mack lose his cool like that.

He has also gained a little fame with crazy betting promotions…..last few years he has been doing one on the Astros (if the Astros win it all you get it all for free). Reportedly he has 10 Mil in bets on the Astros this year to win the WS and may be the largest sports bet payout of around $75 million. He has done these promotions on the Super Bowl and other stuff.

That’s it in a nutshell.

Damn shame. Phillies had plenty of chances last night. They let Verlander off the hook early. Then 1st and 3rd 1 out in the 8th. They just can’t manufacture runs. It’s HR or nothing.

In Houston we are holding our breath on every pitch we throw….praying we don’t give up another home run. Hitting is contagious and definitely starts with Harper…dude is scary good! Schwarber is primed to unload as well.

If you were in Houston in the 90s/2000s you absolutely knew who he was. Commercials were everywhere. "GALLERY FURNITURE SAVES YOU MONEY TODAY!!!"

Outside of that unless you were a die hard baseball fan you probably have no clue who he is. This year is by far the most national coverage he's ever gotten.

The whole mattress Mack betting thing got tired fo me years ago but I do remember he stepped up huge after Katrina and has given a bunch of money to charities (with much fanfare and cameras of course) over the years. There must be crazy margins in mattresses because there’s like 5 stores within 10 minutes of my house.

Oh, and I am sure the next thing all the haters will say winds created by the closed roof must have made the foul pole move and that hit should have been a home run. It’s all a little ridiculous at this point.
And lastly let’s not let anyone forget the Phillies in the past have had cheating allegations as have every other team at some point. It’s not 2017 so everyone shut the F up on the cheating nonsense….you sound like a 10 year old losing a game of Monopoly at this point.

You do realize my comment was more about how throughout the history of baseball almost EVERY team has been known/caught/accused of cheating. Go do your history on the 2007-2009 Phillies…and don’t believe it is limited to just those years or just the Phillies doing it at that time. MLB issued a warning to the Phillies in 2010…it’s already been explained what/how they did it.

Just get out of here with all this nonsense or Mack will just have to have a word with you.
