Quoted from Jjsmooth:

Removing old decals with aerosol paint stripper. Give it 2 heavy coats about 10 minutes apart, wait 10 more, and the old vinyl starts giving up[quoted image]

How did that end up working out for you? any guess on how long it took to strip all the decals off?

When i restored my FH (first restore) I heated up the decal and peeled off sections at a time. It took forever. So I am looking for better options for next time.

Quoted from MLmotorsport:

Seeing this puts a fire under me to get started on my Rudy that's been sitting in the corner waiting for its restoration. I'm fairly new to pinball and this will be my first go at a playfield swap & overall restoration. I'm a perfectionist and I like doing this kind of project so I'm excited to learn it. I have the rotisserie, polishers, most of the basic tools, etc. My hang up is trying to come up with a somewhat complete list of parts and special tools that I'll want to have on hand for when I start. I'd like to avoid as many delays waiting for parts as possible and get the orders mostly done in one sitting. Also if I don't know what I need ahead of time I'm afraid I'll be trying to reuse things that I should replace and replacing things that don't need to be replaced.
-- Do you have a must-get-new list like t-nuts to switches, coils, opto's, and plastic spoons and how many of each? I would rather just replace if in doubt than have something let go shortly after I'm finished with it.
-- Is it wise to send off the boards to have them gone over? (whatever that means - I've seen it suggested)
Thank you for the helpful guide and kick start![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

FH was my first restore, documented here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/funhouse-my-first-restoration-help-me-not-botch-this

(my documentation is from a newbie perspective, so it might be worth checking out)
