Letang was a goof before the surgery. He’s always been careless and plays defense with his stick not his body. The short handed goal....he was right in front on Murray and couldn’t clear the puck. Screw him.
I have to give the Leafs credit...they pulled one out tonight. You could see they we're constantly flipping the puck out of their own zone to get it up the ice. Making weird odd man rushes out of it. It wasn't pretty hockey...but it got the job done.

I have to say I'm quite impressed that the Leafs won game 5 in Boston to stay alive in the playoffs.

Now on Mon night they are back on home ice for game 6 with confidence that they can win again to stay alive and push it to a game 7.

Not to hate on Malkin but I think missing Haglin is a bigger ordeal as Haglin is one of the few with speed on the team! I look at it this way the Pens lose game 1 and give the CAPS hope and once they have hope we all know where they wind up.....hoping next year will be the year!
On a serious note.... this run the Penguins have on the Caps has to come to an end sooner or later (hopefully later) but this could be the year! Pens are hurting when it comes to Defense. Offensivley they're without two key players and who knows with Haglin as apparently it was a concussion so it's up to a Dr to say yeah or nay! Even with Malkin and Haglin not sure they can run up 5+ goals per game on Holtby like they did with the Flyers!

Unfortunately the Leags went into Defensive mode when they went up 4-3! They had 0 shots 8 min into the 3rd.

Malkin should be back sooner than later, and the Hagelin injury is up in the air. That dirty bastard jizzroux should of got a fine, left his feet. All those teams are good for are hurting a player or two for when we advance ahead of them.
We'll need Murray to be on his A-game for game 1, that's for sure. No damn soft goals like he always let's in. If he can hold ground then I think we'll be fine. Crosby line in tact, Sheahan back with Kessel is nice too, they seem to have great chemistry. Now there's the Brassard line with Sheary and Rust, THAT line has to clique in this first game and it's crucial. Sheary had plenty of chances those last few Cryers games but just hit the post or missed the net. No worry for Rust, he's a beast. Brassard needs to show wht we got him in this series most of all.
I think if we come away with one of these away wins, we'll be okay. And STAY OUT OF THE BOX. Only up point about not having Malkin is the dumb penalties he takes won't be there. But fuck, we really need him back.
Did you guys see the caps at home last series? I’m hoping they get it done this year but not holding my breath.
It's only been one game and the Pens are already in the Caps heads....again. History does tend to repeat itself. Vegas is just dominating the Sharks right now.
Caps play better when they're down. It would've been foolish for them to win the first game of the series. It's not all about goals and scores, there's this thing called strategy.
