I'm surprised this thread had no posts in it. I'm considering going to the Ohio show also. Also looking at a six-hour drive.

Is it worth it? Does anyone have any tips? Hotel/food ect..

Thanks Phoebe, I did see that thread, but a lot of it is what people are bringing. I was trying to get a feel for how it compares to other shows. The Ohio show website didn't have pictures of past shows so I was wondering if it was bigger than York or smaller. Any hotel or food places would be a bonus too. Some of the games people are bringing seem worth the trip.

    Quoted from WaddleJrJr:

This is the first year the show will be open on Sunday, so I can't say yet how that works.
Thursday is open to the public, but does tend to be more of a set up day. You'll see more and more games coming in as the day goes on.
    I couldn't tell you a game count, maybe 100 - 200?
The auction's contents will differ every year, but I'd expect to see some pinball machines.
The main tournament is going to be the same as what you see at other major shows. Buy tickets to play games, your highest score is kept track of, and is added into a ranking to determine who qualifies. There will be a main and B division, so novice players don't have to worry about being blown out by the top players. In addition this year will have a Womens and a Youth knockout tournament.
I find this to be more of a buyer's show than just a casual players show. It's more heavily focused on the vendors, the auction, stuff like that, I'd say you could compare this well to the Allentown and York shows, although it'd be much different than a show like ReplayFX.

    I'm not a tournament player, I have no patience..lol

I would probably be coming late afternoon on Thursday & be gone Sat after the auction.

I love buying stuff & my truck can hold 3 machines

Looking forward to the auction, but I've never had much luck at them.

    100-200 games sounds pretty good..

    Quoted from CrazyBill:

I haven't been in a couple years, so my tips may be dated, but here they are.
    1. Don't wear new shoes. The bathrooms are in desperate need of repair, so there's a mystery liquid on the floor.
    2. Sunday may not be worth it. Last time I went, vendors and tables were pretty well packed up by 1pm on the last day (then Saturday).
    3. Hamburger Palace is a great place to eat.
    4. Basic beer options. I don't really recall the extent of the selection.
    3.

Bathrooms are actually new, leaving Saturday, some beer which is a good thing. May have to check out the hamburger place. BBQ place down the street had awesome fries
