In, as usual. Hope I don't get sick again this year. Spending the 2nd day in my hotel bed was for the birds.

    Quoted from GGG:

Don't let the picture of the Space Needle in the poster fool you...unfortunately the show location is 35 miles away from the sights of Seattle, a good 50-75 minute drive depending on traffic. However if you like cars, the Lemay Collection is only 5 min away. Make sure you plan to get there at least 2 days before the show to check out our beautiful city-(aside from the hobo blue tarps)-because you simply won't have time to commute while the show is on.

I sure wish the show was still in Seattle. Lots more to do & see than Tacoma. Cheaper hotels too. The one across the street from the Tacoma show is ok, but a bit expensive for what it is.

I can vouch for The Swiss, who served me an irresponsible amount of fish and chips.

Last time we were there the service was so slow we left & went up to the Rock pizza.
I was not impressed with the Swiss

I'll be doing the cross-country/Canada EM pinball tour but if timing permits I may be traveling through Seattle during the show... will definitely drop in if so!

Drinks on me if you make it.
Always a LOT of well restored & nice playing EM's at this show...

Probably would bring games to get free admission,
<but since i can only attend for 1 day (maybe day and half)>
and since your policy is to have all games remain
thru out entire show beginning to end,
that is not option for me.

Me too, would gladly bring a pin if I did not have to stay all three days.

No, I don't know of any vendors, but it's a topic of interest among Pinsiders to buy this kind of glass at a local show.
Not sure why regular glass is always available (which I have bought at the Tacoma show before), but not the specialty glass.
Oh well, keep up the good work, I'll be going for the 7th? year in a row.

Let's down Few buckets at the Rock again.

    Quoted from nwpinball:

The tournaments run the entire show with qualifying rounds and 5 separate tournaments. The finals generally run right up until the show ends. That's why we separate them out and say they are only available for tournament play.
Honestly, tournament games are set up really tough, they pull parts, increase the tilt sensitivity and change the settings to make ball times shorter--for the average player, they aren't as much fun to play. But if you really want to play them, you could enter in one of the tournaments

That's the truth. The tilts are way-way too tight to be any fun at all.

    Quoted from Lysurgeon:

Such a bummer that the only seawitch is in the tourney bank two years in a row...

Yeah, I was hoping to get some time on that one too. I'm about 1/3 done with my Seawitch restore & I am itching to play it.
    - I did play the Seawitch @ the Pacific pin museum this April -- fast & fun pin!

Looks to be a bit cooler this year in Tacoma 50~62f & probably rain.

I highly recommend booze in your hotel room

Oh yes, I intend to do so.

Here's a nice little video one of the gaming and event bloggers put together with a bunch of footage from the show:
