Do you recall the names of those? Wasn't sure if I could make it and it looks like I can so was going to get a room. Their website has been down all day and was going to try tomm.

I should have specified. The Expo site is fine. It's the "book rooms online" link that is not working. Called today and they advised they were sold out. I'm open for suggestions for hotels within walking distance if their are any. Tigerlaw, do you recall the name of those that were close?
Got off my lazy butt and used the internet for good instead of evil. Found the Hampton Inn Houston - Brookhollow which (according to google maps) is maybe 100 yards from the hotel. Rate was $89. Just a FYI for any other procrastinators like me.
